PATHOGENIC RELEASE "CROWNED IN CORPSES"

PRESS RELEASE:

Boston's PATHOGENIC has launched the official music video for the title track off their new album, Crowned in Corpses.

PATHOGENIC vocalist Jake Burns comments on the song.

“Lyrically, 'Crowned in Corpses' forces an acknowledgment of the bloodlust and brutality that drive wars of conquest. The opening command to “spill the blood of your enemies” is presented without justification, setting the tone for a song that makes no attempt to explain or rationalize the violence it depicts. This deliberate absence underscores the role of media and political narratives in making such conflicts more palatable. Wars of conquest spread unimaginable misery, and no matter the pretext, the conqueror wears a crown paid for with the blood and suffering of others."

The premiere for "Crowned in Corpses" comes via Decibel Magazine. Stream the video now at this location. https://www.decibelmagazine.com/2025/01/16/video-premiere-pathogenic-crowned-in-corpses/

Skepsis Recordings will release Crowned in Corpses on February 7, 2025. Pre-order the album now at www.skepsisrecordings.com.

In support of the album, PATHOGENIC will hit the road with technical metal band Leylines (members of Through the Eyes of the Dead and ex-The Contortionist). The tour kicks off March 1 in Nashville. Dates are as follows.

3/1 - DRKMTTR - Nashville, TN

3/2 - Culture Shock - Atlanta, GA

3/3 - The Milestone - Charlotte, NC

3/4 - Chapel of Bones - Raleigh, NC

3/5 - The Metro - Baltimore, MD

3/6 - The Nail - Ardmore, PA

3/7 - The Woodshop - Brooklyn, NY

3/8 - The Middle East, Upstairs - Boston, MA

Crowned in Corpses marks the band's first full-length release in over half a decade, promising a bold evolution of their signature brand of progressive tech death, while retaining the intensity that has defined the band for years.

The album was produced by Raymond Marte (Moon Tooth), Anthony Lopardo (Loss Becomes), and ourselves. Raymond Marte mixed and mastered the record. Crowned in Corpses music video was shot by Nick Court of Killing It Entertainment.

Out of Boston’s depths emerges PATHOGENIC, a force unshackled from hiatus and reborn with Crowned in Corpses. Over 42 punishing minutes, this progressive death metal quintet weaves together labyrinthine riffs, relentless rhythms, and chilling visions of a decaying world.

In 2022, the band’s resurgence was ignited when original vocalist Jake Burns and new drummer Tyler Montaquila joined forces with guitarists Chris Gardino, Justin Licht, and bassist Dan Leahy. Together, they’ve forged a sound that is ferocious, intricate, and unapologetically heavy — delivering metal that demands to be heard.

PATHOGENIC has shared stages with legends like Suffocation, Revocation, and The Faceless, and has annihilated crowds at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival and RPM Fest. Known for their high-octane live performances, the band’s energy and command leave audiences with no choice but to headbang furiously.

Set to release on February 7, 2025, through Skepsis Recordings, Crowned in Corpses is a ferocious musical declaration: eight tracks of devastating power and haunting warnings of the darkness that lies ahead.

PATHOGENIC is:

Jake Burns - vocals

Chris Gardino - guitars

Justin Licht - guitars

Dan Leahy - bass

Tyler Montaquila - drums

"Well, here it is. We've been waiting for this moment like the rising sun, and we're more than happy to finally let you all listen to our day's work!

We're talking of course about our just released debut album entitled 'Meadows Of Misfortune'. A collection of raw, young emotion scattered across 10 songs that showcase northern melancholy, rage and loss through fast riffs, blast beats and horrid screams.

We really hope you enjoy the album and maybe find something you can relate to!"
