COSMIC REAPER RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "BLOODFEATHER"

PRESS RELEASE:

“Bloodfeather” is the latest single from North Carolina doom conjurors COSMIC REAPER. The track comes by way of the band’s  Bleed The Wicked, Drown The Damned full-length, set for release on September 26th via Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

Offers vocalist/guitarist Thad Collis of the track, “‘Bloodfeather' was inspired by an unfortunate goose that flew in front of our van while crossing a bridge on our way into Baltimore. We wanted to honor the memory of this winged one with a song about ritual sacrifice to Aphrodite, with crushing riffs and thunderous drums.”

Wrote The Sleeping Shaman of the track, "A slow-burning juggernaut of crushing riffs, ‘Bloodfeather’ is a bleak, hypnotic landscape that embodies the band’s signature blend of heavy doom and celestial despair."

Since 2017, COSMIC REAPER has carried a black-flamed torch of tradition, forged in the long lineage of doom and sludge. Emerging from the shadows of Charlotte, the band blends a raw, southern swing with the full circle of heavy metal creating a sound as steeped in American mysticism as it is overloaded saturation of amplifier worship.

While their roots lie in the hallowed halls of Black Sabbath and Saint Vitus, the band’s DNA mutates further pulling from the textured anger of Soundgarden and even the chaotic forces of Snapcase. COSMIC REAPER isn’t interested in simply echoing the past; they swirl it a glass, layering a cocktail of thunderous bass and drums, brink-of-destruction fuzz, and ethereal vocals into a sonic ritual all their own.

The band’s self-titled debut, released in 2021 on Heavy Psych Sounds, announced their arrival with cataclysmic force earning praise for its crushing atmosphere, hard rock influenced riffs, and psychedelic accents. Tracks like “Hellion” and “Planet Eater” showcased their ability to drift between galactic doomscapes and swamp-born grooves. 2022’s follow-up Doom Sessions Vol. 7 saw a brief evolution in tempos and themes pulled from the remnants of the self-titled record.

Since then, much has changed. With lead guitar duties being passed on not once, but twice, COSMIC REAPER welcomed guitarist Pete Snasdell into the fold. A longtime stalwart of the UK heavy music scene, Snasdell brought an evolved sense of harmony and heaviness, expanding the band’s twin-guitar attack and deepening the commitment to the cult of heavy metal.

Now armed with a sharpened lineup – Thad Collis (vocals/guitar), Garret Garlington (bass), Jeremy Grobsmith (drums), and Pete Snasdell (guitar) – COSMIC REAPER continues to burn slow but be ever blinding. Their highly anticipated second full-length album, Bleed The Wicked, Drown The Damned, is deeper descent into psych-doom’s haunted core, the record sees a big step away from older stoner elements. promising to push their sonic boundaries further into the void – heavier, stranger, and more apocalyptic than ever before.

Comments Collis, “Bleed The Wicked, Drown The Damned is an album we poured our hearts into. We wanted to take our sound to a new level, but also call back to the roots of doom, with a touch of 90s angst. Lyrically, it touches on everything from standing up to tyranny, to revenge, to sacrifice, to love, lust, and betrayal all wrapped in themes of horror, science-fiction, and history. For the best listening experience: light one up and turn it up loud.”

Bleed The Wicked, Drown The Damned was recorded and mixed by Blake Hobson at Sense 2 Recording Studio and mastered by Esben Willems at Studio. The record will be released on CD, LP, and digital formats.

BRUNDARKH RELEASE NEW SINGLE "ONE WITH THE MACHINE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Brundarkh Unleash Ferocious New Single “One With The Machine”

Out August 29, 2025 – A Crushing New Chapter in the Saga of Melodic Death Metal

Independent Release

https://brundarkh.bandcamp.com/

Brundarkh, the cinematic melodic death metal project known for weaving dark fantasy and extreme metal into immersive soundscapes, returns with their latest single “One With The Machine” — out August 29, 2025.

Produced by founding member Heino Brand alongside Caleb Bingham (Nightmare Sound Studios), the track marks a brutal evolution in Brundarkh’s sound. Mixed by Bingham and mastered by the legendary Thomas “Plec” Johansson (The Panic Room), “One With The Machine” dives into a cold, mechanized future where flesh and steel become indistinguishable — a far cry from the medieval darkness of their Tolkien-inspired past.

Following the critically praised Haunted Worlds EP and their epic full-length Those Born Of Fire And Shadow , Brundarkh’s new material steers into dystopian realms while maintaining their signature melodic aggression. Inspired by bands like Mors Principium Est , Children of Bodom , and early In Flames , the single balances symphonic flourishes with razor-sharp riffing and evocative atmosphere.

Though rooted in fantasy, Brundarkh is not confined by it. “One With The Machine” is a thematic shift — a glimpse into future releases that explore a broader spectrum of myth, fear, and imagination.

ABOUT BRUNDARKH

Formed in late 2020 by South African multi-instrumentalist Heino Brand , Brundarkh quickly gained attention with the debut single Wraith Dominion , featuring a guest solo by Jori Haukio of Mors Principium Est. Collaborating with Caleb Bingham (ex-Attika 7, ex-Zephaniah), the duo released Haunted Worlds in 2021 — a dark and layered EP steeped in gothic lore. Their full-length album Those Born Of Fire And Shadow followed, delving into tales from Tolkien’s The Silmarillion and featuring guests from Wolfheart , Before The Dawn , and Eternal Tears Of Sorrow .

Now, with “One With The Machine” , Brundarkh signals a new arc in their ever-evolving narrative — one that promises even darker, more dynamic storytelling through sound.

LEAFBLOWER RELEASE "LOW HEAVEN"

With influences drawn from genre-defining acts like Neurosis , Cult of Luna , and Isis , Low Heaven is a towering monument of sorrow, grit, and transcendent heaviness.

STERILIZING THE DECEASED RELEASE "NOTHING"

PRESS RELEASE:

Emerging from the emotional depths of Cleveland, OH's deathcore underground, Sterilizing The Deceased announces the release of their soul-crushing third EP, “Nothing”, now available as of August 1st, 2025. This five-track record dives headfirst into addiction, loss, and recovery, offering a raw and reflective listening experience unlike anything fans have heard from them before.

Formed during frontman Angelo Vespucci’s final year of high school, the band quickly evolved from high-energy house shows to writing deeply personal and musically ferocious work.

“I just wanted to start a band with my buddies, and this is where we began,” says Vespucci.

That seed has since grown into a sonic force of heavy, atmospheric, emotional, and aggressive music ready to be discovered on their new EP “Nothing”. This new offering is their most refined and impactful release to date. It is more than music; it's a mirror held up to the darkest parts of the soul. With themes of drug addiction and suicide, it chronicles Vespucci’s personal battles through an intense fiction-meets-nonfiction lens. From the reflective chaos of “Recovery” to the redemptive blast of “Awake,” each track brings fans closer to their emotional reckoning.

Vespucci comments:

"This EP has the real and raw emotion behind it, unlike some other previous pieces of work, as we were finding our sound. What I want people to take away from this album after listening to it is a personal reflection on oneself. Never straying too far from your path by getting lost in the darkness. Also, realizing other people in this world are dealing with the same pain you might be experiencing, and it’s okay to feel like that, just know there is always a way out back into the light."

The writing process is led by John Hruby and Angelo Vespucci, blending communal riff-building with emotionally charged lyricism. The band’s evolution from high school chaos to mature sonic expression is evident throughout the EP’s structure and themes. Musically, the band channels influences like Reflections, Chelsea Grin, and Lorna Shore, while pulling inspiration from genres such as melodic deathcore and progressive metalcore.

The chilling album artwork for "Nothing" features a demon forcing a chalice on a resisting figure, a metaphor for battling addiction and the constant struggle to reclaim control. It’s as haunting and visceral as the music it represents.
