GRAVESLAVE RELEASE BASS PLAYTHROUGH FOR THEIR SINGLE "STRETCHED UNTIL WE BLEED"

Minneapolis, Minnesota death metal band GRAVESLAVE have just released a bass playthrough video for their latest single "Stretched Until We Bleed". The single comes from the band´s latest EP "Relinquish, Life" released in 2024. You can check the bass playthrough here:
Founded in 2014, Graveslave has long been a mainstay and driving force in the Midwest metal scene. Known for their breakneck speed, technical songwriting, and outrageous music videos, Graveslave have been providing mosh pits and windmills to crowds since inception. A seasoned touring band, Graveslave have accomplished a major 2018 EU tour with Origin, Rings of Saturn, and Hideous Divinity, as well as several U.S. tours, sharing the stage with acts such as Abigail Williams, Micawber and Unearth to name a few.
In 2021 the band released their most recent LP, No Center, and was "highly memorable" according to No Clean Singing. The band then spent the majority of 2021 and 2022 promoting the LP, which was also featured in Decibel Magazine, New Noise Magazine, GhostCult Mag, and more. In 2024 the band released the first of two companion EPs, titled Relinquish, Life. Continuing to refine their unique blend of blackened progressive death, the band also released a new music video for the single Stretched Until We Bleed, described by No Clean Singing as "barbarically careening and crashing...it's also technically impressive - and somehow precisely executed."

Finnish blackened death metal band Progeny of Sun is set to release the second studio album 'Prophets of the Void' on September 5th 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single 'Decimation' is out today and music video can be seen here:
Guitarist Jaakko Hautamäki comments:
"Niko kindly suggested to Joni that we should have a "pumping song" so it wouldn't get cold on stage. I looked at my phone to see what the hell this was about. Joni had written the song and Niko immediately wrote the lyrics. Pepe was allowed to record the drums exactly as he wanted, as long as they matched Joni's demo tracks made by mouse. I tried to participate in the project by adding massive synth sections to the song. In the end there was only one left, but I had to do something. Töle had been complaining for years that the songs could be a bit more challenging. Joni relented and immediately added two bass solos to the song. Niko also surprised everyone with his kindness by giving Töle a record amount of backing vocals, some of which were even solo parts. So there you have it, and the main thing is that the bassist now has something fun to do at gigs."

BIOGRAPHY:
In the beginning, Progeny of Sun was a two-man band formed by Jaakko Hautamäki and Niko Aromaa. Jaakko was responsible for the instrumentals, mixing, and mastering, while Niko handled the vocals, lyrics, visuals, etc.
The songs Jaakko introduced were very versatile. Some had speed, some were slow, some painted a picture with their atmosphere, and some were more straightforward bangers. Despite the diversity in style, everything worked exceptionally well in tandem, and from this premise, the band started to develop and pave its own way forward.
To start with, Progeny of Sun created a 6-song self-titled EP and discovered that their music was met with great reception. The duo behind the band did all the mixing, mastering, videos, and artwork themselves. The project as a whole was very fun and rewarding to work on.
After the EP release, Jaakko and Niko began to think that something more was still needed. They still had a burning desire to spread their music around the world, but with just two people, it would have been impossible.
Subsequently, Jaakko found two local musicians from the Seinäjoki area: Joni Kiviniemi (guitar) and Juha Peura (drums). Joni and Juha were initially brought on board just to offer their vision and play their assigned instruments for new material. Soon, however, it began to feel like they were part of the family, and so it was decided that they would become full-fledged members of the squad and a part of the band's story. Not long after, Tuomo Tolkki (bass) was also welcomed to join, and in a matter of a few months, the full lineup was formed.
The first release with the full lineup, a 3-track EP 'Dark Wanderer', was released in 2021. Next in line were the single releases ‘Worthless’ and ‘Anguish’, which were released in 2022. Thanks to the aforementioned experimental phase, Progeny of Sun has gained self-confidence and started to understand its own identity. The band worked hard on the debut album ‘Throne of Desolation’, which was released at the end of 2023. Progeny of Sun's second album 'Prophets of the Void' will be released in September 2025. Following their debut album, the band has identified their strengths, which are utilized and showcased even more prominently on the second album.

About the Band:
UnderWill originated as a collaborative project among friends and, though they consider themselves a band, have never performed live. Recording for “The Inevitable End” began in October 2019, with instrumentals completed by March 2020. Due to the pandemic and personal delays, vocals were finished later, and the album finally released in October 2022. Despite minimal promotion, the album caught the attention of metal blogs and YouTube channels, inspiring the concept of a physical edition.

Gehenna is a kind of survival story from an afterparty where all food and drink is gone. This melodic piece with wall-of-sound guitars is then a good tune to warm up the sauna and enjoy the rest of the night, maybe even mosh listening to the riffs. While dreaming of a delivery of drinks the stove heats up to glowing hot and temperature rises above comfortable, representing hellfire. At that point what else can you do than take a thorough steam bath and relax."

Frostbite Terror is a melodic death metal newcomer from Turku, Finland. Since 2022 Frostbite Terror has combined melodeath, thrashy riffing and symphonic arrangements. The songs subject both serious and comedic topics to dark humor. When playing live, Frostbite Terror conquers stages with their tight playing and spicy, yet melancholy riffs. HELPLESS AGONY RELEASE "BELLIGERENT RETRIBUTION"

This past Friday on The Zach Moonshine Show , fans were expecting an unholy night of extreme metal with the legendary Profanatica and rising death/black warriors Helpless Agony . While Profanatica was unfortunately a no-show (we’re still unsure what happened, and we sincerely apologize to fans), the night was far from ruined.
In fact, Ron Sowal of Helpless Agony delivered one of the most raw and honest interviews we've had in recent memory — and it couldn't have come at a better time, with the release of the band’s latest full-length album Belligerent Retribution dropping just days before on May 9th .
From One-Man Project to Live Assault Unit
Helpless Agony began as a one-man project , entirely driven by Ron’s creative vision and DIY ethos. In the interview, Ron walks us through how the band started in isolation — writing, recording, and programming drums solo — and how it's now transforming into a full live band , ready to take the chaos to the stage.
“I never thought I’d take it live, honestly,” Ron says. “But after hearing the feedback from the recordings and realizing what could be done with a full band on stage, I knew it had to happen.”
Zach and Ron discuss how the band's sound has evolved — from the early demos to the fully fleshed-out new record. Despite being recorded solo, Belligerent Retribution sounds like a full band assault, thanks in part to clever use of tools like EZDrummer , precision layering, and Ron’s ear for aggressive tone and tight production.
Belligerent Retribution: A Monument of Rage
The new album is a sonic juggernaut , blending death metal , black metal , and doom into a grim and punishing listen. Tracks like “Dethroned Reject” and “The Raven’s Call” showcase not only Ron’s intensity but his range — heavy chugging riffs, tortured vocals, and atmospheric layering collide into a cohesive wall of sound.
Zach praised the album’s production during the broadcast, pointing out how it “sounds like a full band in a pro studio,” even though the entire thing was created by Ron alone at Equinox/Preylude Studios .
“It’s all about being resourceful,” Ron explains. “Technology has made it possible to create this stuff at home, but you still need the right ears, the right influences, and a vision.”
A Nod to the Greats, and a Future of His Own
During the conversation, Ron opened up about the early influences that shaped his style — particularly the legendary Incantation , whose filthy riffs and apocalyptic atmosphere left a major impression on him as a teenager. That same vibe bleeds through Helpless Agony’s sound, but with its own unique personality.
“I was obsessed with Incantation. Still am. That mix of dread and heaviness just felt right. I want my music to make people feel that same crushing weight.”

Polish death metallers DEVILPRIEST will release their highly anticipated third album “Where I Am the Chalice, Be Thou the Blood” on June 27th 2025 via Nuclear Winter Records.

Founded in 2015 by veterans of the Polish underground, DEVILPRIEST channels the spirit of early '90s death metal, shrouded in a conceptual veil of occultism and ritual. Their sound is technical yet relentlessly barbaric, precise yet full of unpredictable tempo shifts - hypnotic, suffocating and deeply meditative.
With the third full-length album “Where I Am the Chalice, Be Thou the Blood” DEVILPRIEST continues the concept of satanic enlightenment explored in previous works. This time, however, it is a journey to the origin of the left-hand path, where surrounded with complete darkness the flame of life burns. Meditation on the unspoken words that became the effect or on how to achieve full control over body and mind by forging the irresistible and unrestrained will.

Finnish thrashers Indemon are set to release their debut album Reclaiming Chaos on June 27th 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single Necessary Evil is unleashed today and it's available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/indemon-necessary
The band comments:
"The album's slowest, but perhaps heaviest song, deals with a very specific and dangerous addiction. It’s that certain ever-growing feeling that you can’t shake off, which becomes a necessary evil to achieve satisfaction. "Necessary Evil" interprets the classic saying "the chase is better than the catch" with a heavy hand."
BIOGRAPHY:
INDEMON is a four-piece metal band formed in 2020 in Kerava, Finland. Drawing influences from various subgenres of metal, they blend them uniquely to create a powerful and atmospheric sound. INDEMON's debut EP Fear of Living was released in 2022, showcasing the band's ability to create intense and multifaceted metal. The band’s lyrical themes explore fear, self-doubt, and inner struggles, immersing the listener into the music's emotional world. INDEMON is known for their energetic live performances and distinctive music.
