THANK YOU AND A LITTLE DESIGN

I have been incredibly touched by your comments on losing my sweet Zipper.  Hearing how many of you have  been through the same thing was comforting because I know I will get through this.

I am not going to lie....there have been a few breakdowns the last couple of days.
I keep asking myself  "did I do enough....did I give up" but I guess that is normal.  Crikey.....guilt is a bitch.

I know time is a healer and thank goodness I still have his sister to help console me.

Just a little design today.....easing back into things.

This arrived on Saturday.

It is the art for my project [bad iphone pic].  In the beginning I wanted a more modern abstract piece but as design can go I changed my mind for something a little more subtle.

I have posted before about Linda Donahue.  I am so in love with her work and if I can't have one...well this is the next best thing right?

I was at ADAC the other day and browsed through a fabric book in Duralee.

This one caught my eye...

Amazing huh?
Then I saw these embroidered beauties.

So darn pretty.

Color for days

I mean really...and notice that secretary in the reflection?
I need to amp up my painting skills:)

Alright....I've got to get in gear so I will have something for my ORC post on Wednesday!

Mondays are tough but they only come once a week....ha ha.  Sadness makes you goofy.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT DESIGN TODAY.......

It is with a very heavy heart that I share this news with you.

I know I have posted many stories about our [2] Old English Sheepdogs.  I rescued them 8 years ago losing our 1st OES.  I  was cruising the internet and drinking wine.....husband out of town town......bad combo.

I have a theory that you don't go out looking at new cars and puppies because you will probably come home with one.

I had to put our Zipper down last night after another bout with bloat and other complications.  He was in so much pain and we had tried everything.  It was heartbreaking to see him like that and a kick in the gut to make the decision.

I did it because it was best for him....not necessarily for me:(

He was a crazy boy with tons of personality.....I am so happy to have had 8 years with him.

Those big brown eyes would look right through to your heart.

I feel bad that I threw him under the bus like this once.....
But he did like to indulge occasionally :)

If you want to know how crazy he was you can read this post.

At the end there is a story about my silly boy.

When my husband was flying and gone all the time Zipper and Patches kept me company many lonely nights....and gave me so much love.

I know tonight when I look over to his favorite chair I will feel that little stab in my heart that he is gone.

Here's to you Zippy.....running and playing at the rainbow bridge.

Thanks for letting me share.

SCOTT'S NOVEMBER

Alllllllrighty then......seems like all you have to do is put up a picture of a dog and you get the most comments ever!!!

There were some great suggestions to combat this issue.  Somebody said they put hot sauce on the poop.  I agree that might work but I am not sure if I want to hunt it down twice.....first to put the hot sauce on it and then to pick it up :)

I did try ordering the powder to sprinkle on his food [years ago]...to make his poop taste worse?  Could it taste worse???

Then put zucchini in his food....have not tried that, or when he starts to eat it give him a banana.  The problem with that is he's like the special forces of dogs....very sneaky.  It is usually when we are on the trail....he is quick like a ninja.

And....I doubt he will grow out of it since he is 9 yrs old.

Scott's was extra special this month.

November and December are usually good because they know we like to spruce up our house for the holidays.
Those vendors are smart.

Starting with pillows and fabric

Gorgeous mohair......

I must have these colors in my head....

Another pretty pattern....
Some of the pretty ones Sudi had.....

 You know I love neutrals.

 So pretty for a bedroom.

But then I see color and just like that...."what is a neutral?"
 Some great Romo.

Gotta love some Riad.
 And some Schumacher.

More gray and gold.  Seeing a trend?
Black and white animal.  Nuff said.
 Crisp.

Texture.

 Now moving to lighting...

 Yes...I know you like.....me too.

 Huh????

 More industrial goodness....

Made with old gas station numbers...

Love this one.....
 Disco....

First life was a fan.

70's vibe.

I love this table with the brass and desperately tried to find out how much.....but there was no one around.

 Mid Century white.

Holy swinging bed on a porch.
Mad Men.

Mid Century Gray.

Old fire hats.....for a boys room.

Gray white and a splash of green....I'm in.

Stuff in with greenery for the holidays.

Dreaming of everything in shades of white.

 Industrial vases.

Everyone needs alligators playing pool.

 Purple and silver.

 Rake on a stand.

More sewer balls.....

Unicorn.

 Brass things.

Hat forms.

 Just cool.

 Music sheets....

No thanks.....nightmares.
 How cute?

Staci Swider

 Love these.

Too expensive for me but I love.

Pretty display.

 Big ass mirror.

70's art.  WTF?

On the 10.00 table.

Same.

These also.

 Yes.

Yes....I think.

I got carried away this month taking pictures.
Like I said....November is always good.

To answer questions about the shelter kitchen....3 refrigerators because it is a shelter.
Not sure why.
They really COULD NOT change the cabinets in any way.  AND....the designers paid for all the changes to their room with help from donations [thanks to my peeps for that part].

One more thing.....

I think Zipper got mad that I plastered his picture on the internet cause the day after.....he had diarrhea IN EVERY ROOM on every rug.

Paybacks are hell.
