Mom, Can I Get One? Pleeeeeease?!?

Doug: If anyone feels so inclined, hit me up on the Bronze Age Babies email and I'll send you my address. Would love it if any of our readers would buy me one... ;)  But WOW!! Is this figure cool (and pricey)! Check out the details over at Comics Alliance, but in all honesty -- I am seriously considering this!

New Monster Toys

Karen: This October, there are some cool new monster toys available for fans. Diamond Select continues their minimate line with the Mummy and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. There's also the 8 inch line, which this year includes the Metaluna Mutant from This Island Earth, the Invisible Man, and the Phantom of the Opera. I really like that the Mutant comes with an interociter!

Mezco has put out a highly stylized Frankenstein Monster 9" figure. This figure seems to have really polarized fans -some love it, some hate it. Personally, I think it is a cool, different take on the character. I have mine sitting on my desk in fact. There are plans for similar versions of the Creature and the Mummy, but they're not available yet.

Mezco also has a pre-order for an 18" Frankenstein Monster that is more than a little reminiscent of the old 'Big Frankie' figure of the 60s. It has a big price tag too, $100! But it's kind of cool.

For those who prefer their figures to be Mego-style, Ecme Toys is producing 8" figures of the Creature from the Black Lagoon and the Bride of Frankenstein. These are still pre-orders, due out October 19th.

What would Halloween be without Mad Monster Party? Now you can enjoy figures of the Count, Fang, and the Baron. These are great looking sculpts. You can buy these as a set or separately.
