It's been a while ...

Yes, it surely has - it's been a while, a long while.

But I'm back.

I've been creating honest, but I've had a wee jaunt overseas to the Commonwealth Games, as a spectator, not a competitor, work commitments, life in general - sometimes it all gets in the way of creating.

I need to stand my ground!!! ROFLMAO.

Enough is enough, is enough!!!

Anyway, let me share a little creativity.

I've used a spiral bound book.

I've cut out a piece of patterned paper from a gorgeous new FabScraps collection C105 - Memory Lane - I've used paper from the carder's pack and adhered to the top of my book.

I've layered with lots of embellishments and really built up my embellishment cluster
with lots of texture and layers.

See that wee bit of black poking out of the embellishment cluster?

I've used a metal die and cut out the shape using white cardstock and then
I have dabbed a black ink pad over the top of it.

I've cut out of lots of pieces of foliage and tucked them in everywhere.

Added in crafting fibres.

Those wee hot pink stones are called prills.

I've adhered them using 3D gloss gel.

All of the wee flowers are gorgeous Little Birdie blooms.

I've inked over a piece of Little Birdie chipboard word sentiments - this one is the word 'memories'.

You can see a wee smidgeon of yellow in the next pic
- I've cut straws up and tucked them in under the foliage.

I've cut the ends off on an angle.

A little more substance and texture.

You should know by now that I love to add bitsers to my creativity.

And I have randomly applied Aleene's True Snow.

That's it from me for tonight.

Happy crafting everyone.

If you are in my part of the world, keep warm and dry.

Until next time.

Awesome - great - happy - fabulous

All from a 13 Arts sticker - just seemed the right thing to add to my latest card using Mintay birdsong papers.

This card has a whole lot of layering and I really mean a whole lot of layers and yet it isn't top heavy.

Here's a wee look at some of the original layering before I adhered to the card base itself and before I added my foliage embellishment cluster on the top.

I cut some tags and adhered underneath on one side and on top on the left hand side.

A closer look at that foliage embellishment cluster.

and another look

and then showing a closer look at that sentiment 13 Arts sticker

and again in its entirety - because it's my blog and because I can ...

So much to share over the coming days.

A few projects that I have kinda forgotten to share as well.

Sssshhhhhh.

Until next time,
Happy crafting my friends.

Tags ...

I love making tags.

It's so easy to whip up a tag or two - they become little works of art.

They are quick - you can be done in no time at all and it feels like you have created something and you have something to show for it - just like that.

You can send a tag on its own, to bring a smile.  You can add a tag to a gift.  Well you can even add a tag to a card, or a gift card, or a gift bag.

Let me share a couple of tags I made in the weekend.

I definitely played with the green colourings ...

The base started off as a white cardstock tag and then I cut out another tag with patterned paper and adhered and started to build up my layers.

I always cut out a heap of foliage using my Cuttlebug or Big Shot and normally use a variety of metal dies - I stuck with the same foliage die on both of these tags.

But I also tucked in a little lacey edge paper, yet another metal die.

A butterfly, you know I love adding butterflies here and there.

A few stamens were tucked underneath this Little Birdie bloom on this particular tag.

Here's a little more of that crafting fibre.

One day I am going to run out of crafting fibres - but hopefully it won't be for quite some time.

And then I randomly applied a little gesso, as you do ... for a little more texture.

Happy crafting everyone.

The season's are a-changing in my part of the world.

Wrap up warm.

Until next time,

An easel card

Hi there my friends,

If you haven't been to visit for a while, welcome back.

If you a regular visitor, whether it be by reading the google update or as a subscriber, or even a straight off visitor because you've seen my blog link from somewhere, welcome back.

Thanks for swinging by today.

If you have been a visitor for quite some time, you know that I have fits and fads with easel cards ... and it must be time that I had a play with them again.

So you guessed it.

Here we go.

A few pics with this blog post my friends.

You have been warned.

My easel card is a scalloped edge round easel card.

My background papers are FabScraps papers.

The additional foliage is a mix of some old Kaisercraft papers.

I've added some Little Birdie flowers.  You know I love adding flowers.

some crafting fibres

yep, I'm a person who loves adding bitsers to my creativity

My sentiment is a sticker adhered to some of those background FabScraps papers.

And that has been adhered to a toothpick which has been tucked in behind some foliage.

Some more close ups, you must have known that was going to happen.

and to finish off - some gesso randomly applied using another toothpick

Hope you all found some time to be a little creative this weekend.

The weekend thief found me again.

Why is that when we just start winding down and relaxing, our weekend is over and it's time to think about heading back to work for the working week.

Until next time,

Lavender

What's not to like ...

A little more creativity using that same 6x6 patterned paper pad - it sure does go  long way.

A double 'z' fold card.

So quick and easy to make really.

I normally use white cardstock as my base but I spied a little grey cardstock sitting in amongst cardstock on one my shelves which I'm thinking was rather ancient to be honest and then I just went with it.

I'm a hoader ... ssssshhhhh!

Happy creating everyone.
Until next time,

Cards ...

Welcome back to my little creative space in the world.

I've got more creativity to share in the coming days, weeks ... it's a case of getting my A into G and actually writing some blog posts.

On my 'to do list'.

Sometimes, time really does get away on me, life gets in the way, work gets in the way.  You know how it is.  Not enough hours in the day.

We do what we need to do.

So - I made  few purchases recently ... ummmmmmmmmmmm ... perhaps more than a few, said ever so quietly.

One of those purchases was a little Prima in the form of their Lavender collection.

These two cards were made using some of the gorgeous papers from their 6x6 paper pad.

A whole lot of layering on this decorative corner card.

Scallop shape, crafting fibres, a Prima floral metal die to make a flower die cut, a little foliage and then an actual bloom itself.

Different papers from the same paper pad.

On this one I have also added a few stamens to bring out some of the green in the paper.

Added a ticket as my sentiment.

there might be a few layers of embellishments appearing on the corner, but these cards really are very quick and easy to put together - honestly ...

Happy creating my friends.

Until next time,

How about another one ...

Hi there and welcome back. Yep, I'm on a roll. I realised that I hadn't shared this layout - another one ... White, green and orang...
