If you have visited the Kaisercraft blog today you will have seen this layout ... but if you haven't, well you are seeing it now, for the first time.
Materials used : Turtle Dove Collection- P918 French Hen, P921 Calling Birds, P922 Geese, FL430 Wooden Flourishes – Bird Branch, Mini Alphas, Pearl Brad
Extras : baubles, muslin, paint, ink, diamond dust, distress crackle, flowers – pot luck from my big cookie jar/flower jar, leaves, punches, metal dies, hat pins, miscellaneous chipboard alphas
Even though I absolutely love Christmas and Turtle Dove is a Christmas range, I decided to play a little with the papers for my layout and not use them with photos associated with Christmas. I adore the way this layout turned out.
I decided to journal on the back of this layout. I don’t do this nearly as often as I should!
On the back it reads…
Look at you – all grown up.
I’ve called you my ‘wee man’ for so long now and I know that even though you are still my ‘wee man’ at 6’3”, you’re no longer my ‘wee man’. Does that make sense?
It does to me.
At 17½ you are all but a man, in the true sense of the word.
I’ve watched you grow, becoming more and more independent. You are just about ready for the big wide world, but remember, I said, just about. You’re not quite there yet.
The big wide world is just that – a big wide world. You’ve got so much ahead of you – so much to experience, so much to learn, but you don’t have to do it all now … slow down a little. Enjoy it all, but take your time. The world is your oyster. You are going places, we both know that. You are someone special.
And I just wanted you to know, it doesn’t matter how old you get, how big you grow, I want you to remember that you will always be ‘my wee man’.
I love you dearly … never; ever forget that and I’m so very proud of you.

So there you have it, a layout using a Christmas range and with photos that have absolutely nothing to do with Christmas!
Right then.
