Lil Miss Brown Eyes ...

and little Miss Paige has the gorgeous brown eyes.

Every now and again I do the plea for photos and Meg comes to the rescue.

The papers and embellishments look fab-u-lous with the photos.

Even if I do say so myself.

This layout went up on the Scotties Craft blog last week.

All of these scrapping goodies can be found in their shop or if you are a little geographically challenged like me - online shopping is fantastic. Customer service is fantastic too.

Just sharing.

Well then ...

Auckland at the start of the month - Dunedin at the end of the month.

And truly, I hardly go anywhere - lol ...

This weekend though was an absolute ripper, a little music, a few drinks, a few laughs, not enough sleep ...

and I wasn't even away at a scrap camp - lol.

But it was ... an absolute ripper of a weekend.

A little music ... who am I kidding ...

a whole lot of music,
a few drinks, yep ... ummmmmmmmmmmmmm ...
that would be right, a few laughs
- well definitely more than a few

hilarious and I'm not kidding,

I haven't laughed like that for a long time and not enough sleep.

The music was from none other than Sir Elton John and he was truly a.m.a.z.i.n.g

I have to be honest and say that there was a couple of songs I didn't know.

But that was it.

I sat in my seat, a singing, a swaying, a bopping.

I stood in the stand in front of my seat, a singing, a swaying, a bopping.

I stood in the stand in front of my seat, a singing, a swaying, a bopping and a screaming.

He was fantastic - honestly.

The man can play the piano and he can sing.

No kidding.

Just had to share this one photo ... the lenses were removed by said DH when it became a little too dark to see thru them properly but I will have you know, said lenses are now safely back in said glasses and I have more photographic evidence to prove it.

Actually, I'm amazed this photo turned out the way it did ... bearing in mind it was taken in the early hours of the morning - ROFLMAO. The things we do.

Rude ...

Wow, it's been a while since I've sat here and blogged a little more about my big trip away - time has quite simply put - got away on me.

Tut ... tut!!!

Let me share a little more about what happened following the train trip ... yep siree, I got off said train at the Newmarket station - go me!!!! lol.

What did I do ... well I meandered down the street and had a nosey.

I can tell you that they have a yummy, super duper delicious smelling Lush shop and you know that I have a wee thing for a Lush shop - but sadly, nothing left my person from the shop - twas a case of, I already knew I had very little room - sad, but true!!!

I wandered down the road a little further and came across this shop www.saks.co.nz.

Now I have to say, that I did NOT know before I entered this shop, that this shop was rather, shall we say upmarket ... seriously, I did NOT know.

Ummmmmmmm ... like how was I to know before then - seriously!!!

I left the shop absolutely disgusted ... the sales lady and the salesman didn’t even bother to acknowledge me, they kept standing exactly where they were when I walked in ... talking to one and other ... the gorgeous purple coloured leather jacket that was ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm $3,995.00 in Saks ... well that was left sitting on the hanger ... well I told you that I didn’t know that Saks was that upmarket ... ROFLMAO ...

Must say though, it truly was a simply gorgeous coloured shade of purple - nice and Spring like, I guess one could say.

But as for the sales staff - how rude!!!

Moving right along ...

Now how on earth can the lady in the Briarwood shop know that the handbag that I originally walked past was just 'so right for me' ... I mean come on people.

I'm definitely not going to fall for that line, hook, line and sinker ... bag was pretty special though - but that too stayed on the shelf in the shop.

Upmarket Newmarket - yep, I guess you could call it that.
Just saying.

I had a wee play with some animals ...

some layered chipboard animals to be precise.

Add a few rub-ons, a few die cuts, a little more chipboard, some laminating pouches, some alphas ... punch them and pop a ring through them and I was done.

A surprise collection ...

Love this Christmas range that's not necessarily a Christmas range, if that makes sense.

I played a little and came up with this card.

Added a little seam binding, a few blooms, a few baubles,
a little hand stitching

and ... voila!

Who's gonna drive you home ...

tonight ...

While I was away I saw so many different types of vehicles.

I don't know that I drive around home with my eyes closed - well obviously I don't!!!!

But you know what I mean.

But, I don't recall ever seeing a vehicle quite like this one in the area.

It reminded me a little of a dinky toy to be honest - lol.

But I could cope if one of these came to live at our house ... well I would give it a try!!!

Not sure though about the cube things that I seemed to see e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. - yep, they looked like something stunted to me - very strange. Now if you drive a 'cube' thing, hope you enjoy the driving experience - but wowser, they just seemed to keep jumping out at me.

A little nervous ...

I was at the time and I'm nothing but honest.

I had a wee train trip in the big smog - all the way from Kingsland to Newmarket.

Well it's not that far really, only three stops ... but I did it all by myself.

And yes, I was more than a little bit nervous.

Unforgettable ... yep he certainly is ... I'm sure that you know who he is ... just in case you don't ... ummmmmmmmmmm ... Mr D.C. himself - yep ... really wanted to play on the double D bit, but thought it might sound a little dodgy ... ROFLMAO ... so here we have the photo ... Dan and Danz ... lol ... I'm sure that she isn't going to forget this photo opportunity for a wee while ...

Christmas is in the air ...

Okay, so I kinda like Christmas ...

but I think some of you know that!

Annelie and I had lunch whatever day it was last week, came out of the restaurant and OMG I found this sitting in shop window - it was calling out to me - it truly was ... I tried to find another one calling my name as well, but wouldn't you know it - I got the lady to make some phone calls and this was the only one left.

All I can say is ... I'm pleased that we were on a mission time-wise, otherwise I could have dilly-dallied a little longer [okay, let's be honest here ... ummmmmmmm ... read here a whole lot longer] ... ROFLMAO ...

It flew down the length of the countryside as special hand luggage ... safely stowed in the overhead cabin baggage compartments and a lovely gentlemen retrieved it for me, before everyone and sundry started pulling out their laptops when we landed in Christchurch.

It's gorgeous - truly!!!!

I can see the potential in this little red robin [fantail] or something or other.

And this ... well this litle cluster of beads and berries is so NOT going to look like this for long ... just saying.

Yep siree, there is a little Christmas feeling in the air.

Fabric ...

A little retail therapy - well you really do have to do your part for the local economy when you are on holiday - and I can say that I did that [quite honestly] ... but sometimes when you are on holiday you can fossick around and find a wee bargain.

I did ...

have a looksy here ...

aren't they gorgeous ??? !!!

Yep, they are ... gorgeous that is, but they aren't going to stay on the headband elastic ... no siree - they certainly are NOT !!!

And while showing you fabric flowers, remember back a week or two ago and I showed you a wee flower that I had made ... well I ended up making three [as you do] and I now wear them attached to one of my scarves ...

They must be a little bit of alright ... Danz took a fancy to them as well and asked the question ... so I will be making some more at some stage ... as you do!

Well then ...

Honey, I'm home ... well he can see that ... I've got stuff for Africa.

Unpacking is a work in progress ... and if you were to look at the dining room floor,
you would probably think that there hasn't been a whole lot of progress going on [just quietly].

Washing machine is doing its thing and has been ... all. morning!!!!!

I will be forever thankful to the man that invented the washing machine after having first consulted with the right woman - lol.

So ... over the next few days, perhaps longer, hopefully I will find time to share,
do the show and tell, reflect, laugh, cry or something and share a little of my trip to the big smog.

What a time I had.

I left Invers last Wednesday - I just didn't leave on the flight that I had originally booked.

Let's just say that I didn't arrive in Auckland early afternoon like I should have.

Ummmmmmmmmm ... let's just say, that when one travels, the best laid plans can go awry - it does pay to take your car keys, your house keys and any other bloody key that you think you might just need with you ... not leave them. inside. your. house. so that you can't get inside again, cos one darling husband is sound asleep, your keys are sitting in the drawer inside your house, said darling husband won't wake up to the phone ringing 56,000 times, or me knocking on the door, or ringing the bell, ummmmmmmmmmmm ... or throwing stones at the window [well it works on the movies, just not in real life] and while all this is going on - it is flippin' raining ... so you end up having a cuppa with the neighbour who you have rarely seen in three years and she plays chauffeur to take you to DS's school, to grab his house key and he wants to know why you are still here and not in Auckland [WTF] ... so we won't go there.

DH finally wakes up and gets a hell of a fright, thinking to himself why is her scrap bag
and hand bag sitting on the floor and how could I have possibly left them behind ...

Let's just say some six hours later, I did make it up there.

Thank you so very much to my darling friend Annelie who hung around in the big smog
waiting for her cyber friend to actually front up in real life - cos it's not like it is a
hop, skip and jump from the airport to her place - just quietly.

But we won't go there, I made it and had my luggage in tow - bonus!!!!

So the next day we went along to the Prima classes - played with a whole lot of glimmermist,
in fact I still have one of those glimmermist colours on my left hand and I can assure you that
said left hand has been washed numerous times - but it has decided to stay
around a little bit longer than I had originally thought it would ...

We took a wee break between classes and some of the girls went out for lunch.

Loved, loved, loved the way these chunky things were served up and wouldn't you know it, just had to take a pic.

We dined out here ... fan-tab-u-lous it was too. Wining, dining and sunning ourselves, well without the wining bit - but it sounded good - lol ... and we definjitely did the sunning ourselves bit - beautiful!!!!

And then, just so that you know that I was actually here, there and everywhere else - I stood on the beach at Takapuna and that is Rangitoto Island that I am looking at - spelling??? probably should have googled it first - hope that it's right.

Will take pics of my Prima classes when my goodies arrive back ...
some things just have to go via Mr Courier, cos you kinda run out of room - ROFLMAO ...

I really do feel that Air New Zealand should make allowances for some of their guests luggage-wise, I mean hello, this is someone that takes everything but the kitchen sink to scrap camp, let alone to the other end of the country.

But there was absolutely no way my mini albums and product could have
been squeezed into my luggage without being totally bleedin' squashed.

So there you have it ... instalment one, will stop here so you don't get bored silly and switch off completely.

Best I disappear and empty out the washing machine and put another load through.

Yep, honey ... I'm home!!!
