More phone calls

and a visit to the NZ Post agency where I paid for an extension of my mail redirection.

Interesting ... last night I couldn't find my paperwork ... found the Visa statement and could see the charge and then hello ... found a receipt for something that I purchased a couple of minutes after the transaction involving the mail redirection. So today I head to the NZ Post agency armed with the paperwork I did have ... talked to someone there and when I leave the shop, I have a duplicate receipt with me and the tricky dicky number that I needed to provide to NZ Post on the phone ... woo hoo ... so before the day was done today, I had talked to NZ Post and they now know that I am NOT a happy camper, just in case they weren't 100% sure of how I felt about everything yesterday - lol. Still can't do anything about any mail that was never delivered within the last month - a right pain in the butt ... redirection has now been extended for another month and hopefully now the redirection has restarted. Who would know.

An investigation has been instigated ... yeah right. So there you have it ... will be interesting to see what they say when they come back to me. But one thing is for sure ... you don't d**k around with me ...

I had mail today - the courier man has been. New scrapping goodies from the ladies at Scrappin Patch - OMG ... typo ... I had missed the 'S' - wowser, just as well I picked up on that one ... ROFLMAO.

I had ordered new goodies during their sale and kept adding to my order [as you do] - so when my pizza box arrived today, I had forgotten about some of the stuff that I had ordered ... must print off a list actually and check it all off.

A few new goodies in there that I hadn't seen before anywhere else in the country ... thinking cap on now with what I am going to do with them. On the 'to do list' this weekend.

On that note, I am going to head into my scrap room now ...
Keep warm everyone.

Woo hoo ...

and it's Wednesday again ... the weeks just whizz by truly.

It's time to woo hoot ... again!!!! And I'm up for it, well a few woo hoots anyway.

Nabbed a few more bargains on Trade Me recently, so they will be on the courier tomorrow and hopefully here before the weekend.

Bought a few bits and bobs from the girls from Scrappin' Patch and they will be heading my way with the courier today and might, just might, be here tomorrow - a few more goodies to play with this weekend as well.

I had an envelope arrive in the mail box today from another Trade Me purchase ... a trader selling embossed Cuttlebug cut out Christmas trees. I wanted to have a closer look at them before I decided whether to buy the Cuttlebug template thingymajig. Looking pretty good girls. Might have a play with the wee trees on some card in the weekend and I'm sure that will make my mind up, once and for all. Time will tell on that one.

Another night coming home from work and DH has dinner ready for me. Talk about being spoilt ... he is due to go back to work on Friday and then it's my turn back in the kitchen and doing more of the household chores ... darn it all - ROFLMAO. This man of mine is absolutely wonderful around the house. There is only thing that I can think of that he refuses to do ... the ironing. But hey, I managed to use the iron last weekend for the first time in five months ... so I can't complain either - lol.

Something totally separate from woo hooting and it might be something that I will be boo hoo-ing shortly. I went to download pics onto the puta tonight and the bleedin' thing wouldn't do its thing. Naturally I went to nab DH and said to him, next time you are near the puta, would you please check it out for me ... something's not working ... seems we are having a few problems ... again. I had to pull the modem plug out again tonight and replug it in and wait and twiddle my thumbs before everything started working again ... not good me thinks.

So anyway I took said photo disky thing out and popped it into the hard drive direct and managed to work my way around, stumbling and guessing, but I got there in the end, without having to ask DH for any help - and I downloaded my pics ... so woo hoo MOI!!!!

So this is what I was playing with ...

This is another layout of my wee man, a few years ago ...

I've used Stampin Up papers, Bazzill edge cardstock, toned down a little with glimmermist, a little grungeboard and glimmermist, a little stitching, a whole lot of rub-ons, a little chipboard, went and bought some wee eyes for the owl - too cute, a couple of tags and a little ink ... and there you have it.

This layout will go up in the Sketchbook gallery for the fortnightly sketch ... so another woo hoo on completing another sketch challenge.

Night time is so NOT the best time to take pics, but when you work all day and it's darkish when you go to work and fast approaching darkness when you get home, there's not a whole lot you can do about it ... but hey, no cricks in the neck again girls - another bonus and something else to woo hoo about.

Now something that I wasn't woo hoo-ing about today. Started last week actually. For some reason I thought to myself, we haven't had any redirected mail for a while. The thought crossed my mind and then when I thought about it again and rung NZ Post, it was outside their business hours. Someone then forgot about it ... until today. I rung again ... why did I even have to do that???

We had our mail redirected when we moved, we had a reminder letter saying ihe redirection was about to expire. I renewed it again at the start of the month. Found out today for whatever reason, the request wasn't actioned. I damn well knew that I had paid for it. Tonight I was on a mission - to find the bleedin' paperwork and receipt. Do you think I could???? NOPE!!!!! But what I did find was the amount on my Visa and the reason I knew what it was ... just after I had paid for it ... I moved sideways at the counter and saw some Sharpies for sale ... I didn't have any cash on me, so I promptly paid for them on my Visa ... a pathetic amount ... can find the receipt for them ... how stupid is that!!!

So tomorrow I will be going to the agency and asking them what they have done [well not done] with my redirection paperwork.

Would also love to know where all my mail has gone ... I very much doubt whether it actually did go back to - return to sender ... blah, blah, blah ... not a happy camper people. Not a happy camper.

Right then, that's it from me ... I've got another layout on my scrap table and I'm heading in there to have a play.

To my little sis, have fun across the ditch, safe travels and have a blast. Talk to you next week.

Keep warm and dry everyone.

Second time

and let's see if Blogger is going to play nicely and let me upload my latest layouts ...

Let's go ...

First one up and no cricks in the neck yet girls ...

Let's try for number two ...

And we are on a roll people ...

Third time lucky - here goes, fingers crossed, toes crossed and all that ...

Are you ready ...

When we were over on Stewart Island I took heaps and I mean heaps of pics. I love this photo and quite a few taken at the same place on Ulva Island before we headed back out fishing ... these papers were great to use on an outdoorsy [no such word I bet, but sounds okay to me - lol] layout.

And I've just looked - three out of three layouts girls and NO cricks - you're lucky.

I currently have a layout sitting on my scrap desk which needs to be photographed ... sketch challenge at Sketchbook. Might upload it elsewhere too - we will see ... but definitely the wrong time of the day to be taking pics of layouts.

So on that note, I plan on heading into my scrap room and being a little creative, perhaps I might even tidy; well just a little.

One down

and four to go ... a huge day at the office and another four just like it to follow ... but that's okay, I enjoy my job [and I'm honest]. I'm thinking that a lot of people can't actually say that ... but I can and I do!!!

Creativity in the weekend, time to share ...

Well I tried to share ... three bleedin' times and I keep getting error messages. Something tells me that it aint a happening thing ... perhaps next time I sign in blogger will come to the party.

So instead, I will go and have another play with a layout that is sitting on my scrap desk.

Later people.
Enjoy your evening.
Keep warm and dry.

Good luck girls and let's hope the power of the internet and us girl bloggers can pull you in a few votes. Awesome layouts ... you go girls!!!

On that note, later people, places to go, people to see type thing.
Enjoy your Saturday and keep warm.

Mid week

and that means it's Woo Hoot Wednesday, so here goes ...

I got happy mail today - I received a RAK in my mail box today from Scrappin Patch ... thank you ladies ... woo hoo ... well by the time I got home it wasn't in my mail box, it was on the bench - ROFLMAO ...

I received an email from my SIL in Ozzie thanking me for reading her message at my SIL's funeral yesterday ... I thought that was very nice.

DH is on days off and he cooked tea - yummy silverside, mashed potatoes, baked pumpkin, mixed veges ... I didn't have to cook myself, so that's got to be good for me.

And now, I'm heading out passed my scrap room to put the heater on, will check the Sketchbook to see if the new fortnightly sketch is up yet and then I'm going to have a play with a layout that is sitting on my scrap desk.

Mother Nature turned on us today. It is bl**dy freezing outside, the wind is howling, shitty rain and it is bitterly cold ... get the picture.

Wrap up warm people ... the southerly could be heading your way.

This is the latest

sketch from Scrappin Patch ...

Have a play with this sketch and upload your layout or email it to the girls at Scrappin Patch before 1 August [I think entries need to be in again before midnight].

Before I go ... a big thank you to anyone that voted for my layout in their last sketch ... I received a lovely congratulations email from the girls saying that my layout had won and I'm going to receive a RAK in the mail ... woo hoo.

Right then on that note ... I'm feeling more than a little drained tonight, after today. It's been a big day.

I'm going to head into my scrap room for a little play.

Keep warm and dry ... sounds like Mother Nature isn't going to be very nice to us over the coming days. Wrap up everyone.

Are you ready for

a little more creativity.

I started this one ages ago and finished the layout this afternoon ... a photo of my grandmother in her very late teens [we think] ... she's beautiful.

These papers are really old ... trust me on this one ... very old Chatterbox papers I think, a little chippie with expresso paint and opal dust on top, a ribbon and a whole lot of sandpapering/distressing and inking going on.

My hidden journal card reads ...I wonder what life was really like as a teenager when my Nana was growing up ...

There was no need for it to be hidden, but it just didn't look right sitting on top of the layout.

This layout I put together a couple of weeks ago and then ran it by Dad before I uploaded it and I've popped on the three wee tags - For his country.

I purchased a K&Co kit when I was in the States in 2006. This layout idea was in the kit and so I opted to go with it, as it was.

I'm not going to go into my life too much on my blog for lots of reasons, but let's just say that I didn't know this man while I was growing up and I only met him for the first time a few years ago [back in 2001] ... but I am proud to call him my Dad.

This next layout - just be you - a little hand sewing, gotta love those sewing templates, MM paper and I adore this range and another transparency, a few brads, scalloped Bazzill and there you have it ... love the colours in this one.

And this layout - I put this one together I think sometime around scrap camp - perhaps, can't remember to be honest ... I added the two wee tags to finish this one today and it will be popped into my album this afternoon. A little more Tim Holtz crackle paint going on here too girls - lol.

Danz and her grandfather ... and no she isn't short and no Dad isn't that tall either. Danz was standing down a step on the deck ... lol.

I love this photo. Danielle met her grandfather for the very first time at Christmas time - we all have very special memories of his visit. Well not just Dad ... Mom came to the bottom of the world as well and so did my big sis Terry and BIL Daryl ... a big hi-de-hi to y'all.

And so this layout - "very special ... together" is named for that reason - very special ... together.

So on that note, will leave you all be. Must pop these layouts away and head into the kitchen, otherwise I will have the boys moaning very shortly, cos they will be starving - ROFLMAO.

Enjoy your Sunday evening. Take care and keep warm.
Later,
M

P.S. better pop in and have a look to if you will need to crick those necks ...

Edited to add ... well I'm not going to actually write down here for you all to read what I said, but it wasn't polite, that's for real. Three cricks people - I'm so sorry ... technology ... trust me on this one, all pics are sitting the right way in my photos folder on my puta ... honest!!!

There was a song that comes to mind in the distant memory banks ... this way and that way and this way and that way ... tra la la la la la la la la - oops now I think about it ... that might have been the man saying that to us having our old school photos taken ... you go this way and that way and this way and that way - shoving which ever way he wanted you to head ... ROFLMAO ... just grin and bear it everyone, I have to!!!

3 out of 4 of them turned ... unbelievable and I'm NOT saying anything else.

Let's get ready to

rumble ...

Just jesting - truly.

It's time for show and tell and a little eye candy.

So here we go ...

Featuring my wee darling ... pic taken on Ulva Island back in April when we went to Stewart Island for the weekend.

Kaiser Sublime papers - gorgeous papers and so easy to work with ... I want MORE ... layout put together using the fortnightly sketch with the girls at Sketchbook ... very nice sketch it is too ... I've also used Bazzill edge cardstock and my trusty Tim Holtz crackle paint [again], foam stamps [arrows], HS word, rub-on and Barbie, Barbie, Barbie ... my dragonfly. Barbie was my SS giver last year for the mid year Christmas Secret Santa with the girls at County Papercrafts and I got a heap of goodies, including this cracker dragonyfly ... these things take time Barbie and I always knew it would get used.

I've used scraps to whip up this card ... leftovers from the celebrity challenge layout with the girls at Sketchbook ... used my threading water punch, got out the Cuttlebug and one of my new embossing strips, grabbed the raspbery dauber, popped on a few flowers and there you have it ... very simple to put together.

Doctors in the house, apart from the shocking photo, love this layout in real life. Papers came from over the ditch from a shopping spree with the girls at Country Papercrafts ... Dream Street papers. Have used the punch again [seem to have heaps of use from this little treasure]. Out came the beads and I haven't used them for quite some time. Foam alphas and a little hand stitching and the girls from over the ditch should recognise a little strip of Hambly transparency from last months kit. And a little hand journalling as well. The pic doesn't do this justice really. But the battery is flat on the camera, so I've just put it on the charger and if I put it back in the pile for another pic to be taken, it will sit there for ever - ROFLMAO.

The doctors in the house layout I was angling at putting up in the Scrapbook Dreams gallery, but decided not to ... will see if I can find time to put together another layout for their monthly sketch challenge.

Edited to add : shit ... sorry about the crick neck again girls ... why this happens is so totally beyond me ... I've done nothing different ... truly ... read on after you have done your neck exercises to work out that crick - ROFLMAO ...

And now for the final pic - are you all still with me and still awake.

Love how this one came together.

The fortnightly celebrity challenge with the team at Sketchbook - to use flowers and ribbon - well ask yourself, was I ever NOT going to put a layout together for this one. Flowers and ribbon and me ... truly!!! I've got quite a few of both, just quietly and I love this layout to bits.

It was so easy to put together.

Cut up an old Hambly transparency, the trusty punch [again] - definitely getting my money's worth out of this one, that's for real, a few Prima's, a little ribbon, Bazzill edge cardstock and Tim Holtz paint [again] - I've used that a bit lately as well, I found some old Adrienne Looman buttons, a little thread, note the handsewed circle as well ... think that's it ... no it's not - I remembered I've got butterflies on this layout as well and a little HS bling ... green and hot pink butterflies - I got these last year in a wee birthday box from Beverley [Bubbles] ... see I don't forget who gives me what - lol.

Lots of sketches out there to play around with ... very inspirational scrappers to scraplift as well and sometimes, well you just pic up a photo and it all comes together, just like that.

So there you have it ... better go and put these layouts away.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone ... I plan on being a little more creative.

Fortnightly sketch

with the girls over at http:www.scrappinpatch.co.nz
which closes off at midnight tonight.

This is my layout ...

Looking at the pic, perhaps I should have placed it on top of white cardstock for photographing purposes ... but I didn't ...

What have I used :
Scalloped cardstock - punched holes
BG scarlet letter patterned paper, sanded edges
A selection of flowers, a little bling, HS clock, button, thread, threading water punch and embossed it with cuttlebug, tags, ink, foam letters, journaling, forgot about the chippie corner frame when I sent may layout through - never mind.

Journalling reads : She has been there for me for over 25 years. She is a very special lady and I am proud to call her Mum.

This layout is a pic of my MIL; who I have called Mum now for nearly 28 years - crikey ... and she is so very special to me.

So there you have it ... the sun is streaming into my scrap room, I have the window open and I'm going to head in there shortly.

I need to make a few sympathy cards ... might just do that first.

We lost a sister-in-law to cancer yesterday - RIP Diane ... big hugs and our love goes out to Craig, Sherene and Katrina with the loss of their Mum.

Cancer is such a cruel disease ...

Your help again

please ...

The next challenge is up and Rachel needs our help again girls ... and we will all get in behind her 110%, cos that's what us "kiwi's" do ...

Rachel is being so very creative and I look forward to seeing what she puts together for this round of Project Scrap Away. http://www.scrap-n-crop.com

So you have to go to http://www.poppies73.blogspot.com and leave a comment on Rachel's blog and follow her instructions and there you have it.

Rachel, don't know if I can do the linky thing 'twice' - but I'm trying, honest - no idea how it actually worked last time, cos it hasn't since ... lol.

I'm working my way through my list ... fridge had a good cleaning this morning and I mean a really good cleaning. Okay, so I didn't defrost the freezer section of the fridge. But said fridge is now sparkling clean on the inside. Murph's Law though ... one of the males in the house will spill something in it before the day is done ... no kidding!!!

And ... the oven is now super duper clean ... I tell you ... okay so I didn't get the loo's done or the floors done ... but the oven and fridge now have big ticks [might even be crossed out] now on my list.

Luxing - half done ... washing and washing and washing - done - well for the day.

Good luck.
Later,
M

I'm late

it was woo hoot Wednesday yesterday and I had good intentions, but it just didn't happen. I was on-line ordering stuff through Amazon, reading blogs and surfing and it was after I turned off the puta that I realised I hadn't done the Wednesday thing - 10 lashings for me [gently] - I so DO NOT do pain - ROFLMAO.

So let's get onto it ...

I'm going to woo hoot for Rachel over in Malaysia - the power of the internet saw her friends voting for her and she gained immunity - woo hoot - go Rachel!!!!

I finally ordered the sketch maps book from Amazon last night only because I was trying to order another book for DD for her studies - had a few issues with that other book but have since ordered it this morning on line from the States - way, way cheaper than anything she can pick up here in NZ - so that's a woo hoot for myself and for her ... [Mum helping out again] - crikey.

Woo hoot - I've got a long weekend ... I've taken today and tomorrow off work and I've got a list a mile long to work through ... read here a whole lot of housework people with having been away last weekend.

DH has just sent me a message - charming ... "How's the lady of leisure. Hope you haven't done any scrappin, with all the jobs to do. LOL."

At this particular point in time I can be totally honest and say ... NOT YET - ROFLMAO!!!! Isn't he delightful - huh!!!!

Schools holidays are nearly finished and I try and go ten pin bowling with DS during the school holidays - a little competition never hurt anyone. Well in our family that would be a whole lot of competition. We are all so very competitive - lol. And we're not going to change any time soon!!!! Last night when I mentioned it, he wasn't terribly enthusiastic ... I did say, are you too old now to go bowling with your mother - he rolled his eyes and grunted. Getting a lot of that lately - the grunting bit!!!

This afternoon I head away to the hairdresser - time to lose a few greys that keep sprouting. Trust me on this one, I sure don't need any fertiliser thank you very much. So from me ... a huge WOO HOOT!!!!!

OMG - I was reading Vicki's blog this morning and she had show and tell with some layouts ... I just about fell off my chair - one of her titles "just take the damn photo" is the title I am using on a layout of DS after last weekend ... I've decided he is now of the age that he is OVER his mother taking pics of him on demand for scrapbooking purposes and he actually said exactly that on Sunday ... and he then told me to P.O. ... charming young man. So I'm thinking I am going to have to be a little bit more persuasive in the photography department - call it bribes, call it something. When I want a shot, I want a shot ... who is the boss here - ummmmmmmmmmm - no comment!!!

So on that note ... better go and put the jug on and hit that list. Hope DH doesn't think I was going to do everything on that list today - I should have called it my work in progress list ... lol.

Enjoy your Thursday everyone.

Let's see if

blogger is going to play nicely tonight.

Are you ready for this ... truly ready ...

Don't be shocked now ... cos someone you know decided to do the black and white thing on Saturday night. I think the boys nearly fell over when I told them that I was putting on a little face paint ... lol.

Definitely nothing startling ... but here we go.

Face paint from the $2 shop makes me itch ... I don't know if you want to itch when you have any type of face paint ... but this paint drove me nuts ... must admit as soon as I got home for the night, the face wipes and make up remover came out. It took a fair bit of effort to remove it all ... but I was truly thankful when it came off.

Don't know that I would do it again ... it was a first for me and quite possibly a last as well.

And ...

Yesterday we went and visited the newly created and open to the public, Chinese Gardens in Dunedin.

Trust me on this one, well worth a visit and I recommend a visit to one and all. Stunning ... beautiful ... awesome ... brilliant ... amazing ...

Here for your viewing pleasure a collage that super techno whiz kid me just put together - lol. Now I can't promise you that layouts and photos will always be sitting the right away, hence crick necks ... but this works [hopefully].

Before we went to the Chinese Gardens the boys went to the museum and visited the butterflies ... I'm told it was amazing ... I didn't go and guess what ... I had the camera in my handbag - duh me!!!

I decided I needed a little retail therapy at the local scrapping shop in Dunners - Paperworx - and so a little retail therapy I had ... sssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I was caught out in the scrap shop ... hi Naomi ... waving a big hi-de-hi at ya!!!

Lots of wee goodies came home with me. So on that note, a quick surf here and there and then I'm away into my scrap room to play.

But before I go ... I can't possibly sign off without saying a big thank you to Ruth - Roo, you wee sweetie you ... I received happy mail today ... woo hoo ... nice and snuggly and warm - will take pics and share, promise. It's a little cold 'sometimes' in the deep south ... Roo knitted me a scarf and it's gorgeous. Thank you so very much my friend. Awesome!!!

A big weekend

in Dunedin.

Went up yesterday. DH nabbed some tickets for the rugger ages ago. It was a mission and some to find accommodation. With the help of the Dunedin Information Centre we stayed here ...

http://www.wonderfulalpacas.co.nz/

Have a look at our neighbours ...

Aren't they cute????

I just went to upload some more pics here and received all sorts of crazy error messages ... might have to try again later [read here tomorrow people]!!!

Now after the rugby last night we got back and we had a leisurely soak in this ...

Seriously, one of these is going on our shopping list. Now it's not going to happen overnight ... in fact not for quite some time. But IT IS going to happen ... hopefully next year ... might have to cut back on a little discretionary spending ... okay, let's get real here ... that would be a cut back on lots of spending. ROFLMAO ... but this was heaven and it had massage water jets that covered your whole back ... I so didn't want to get out and when I did ... I was like a prune - not a good look.

Had better sign off here, just in case Blogger decides not to do its thing and I lose my post.

I was hoping to get my OTP mini album finished and loaded for the celebrity challenge with the team at Sketchbook - but time is against me ... but I do plan on heading into my scrap room even if it is just to put away my purchases from the weekend.

Later,
M

A scrapping buddy needs our help ...

so here goes ...

And yep, I have been followed Rachel's journey and her awesome creativity ... go Rachel ... flying the 'kiwi' flag ... you go girl.

I copied and pasted this blog post straight off Rachel's blog ... so read on for further details.

Let's see if the linky thing works, cos if it doesn't I hope that they still award Rachel a bonus point ... she shouldn't be penalised if she has a scrapping buddy who is a little techno challenged now should she???

Edited to add ... I have absolutely no bleedin' idea what I just did, but I did it right ... woo hoo - go moi!!!!! Linky thing worked ... woo hoo!!!

Anyway I will be back at some stage to tell you all about the rugger in Dunners and a wonderful place that's just been opened to the public up in Dunedin - the Chinese Gardens ... absolutely fascinating and well worth a visit.

Show and tell

again ... and two posts in two days. I'm on a roll!!!

New blind up in the dining room ... so here it is ...

Fancy me posting a pic of that on my blog ... crikey!!!

Well last night I said that I was heading into my scrap room to scrap ... well I did actually make it into my scrap room ... but not a lot of scrapping happened. DD rang and asked if she could come over and we make something ... okay read here ... come over and 'me' make something. One of her friends was heading up to Christchurch for a course and she wanted to give her a gift. I was going to put some pics in a frame and tart it up ... but couldn't open the bleedin' thing - truly. So I whipped out a canvas and painted it up ... left it to dry and played a little, after the first coat of paint was dry I got DD to do the second coat [her contribution].

She came over to visit tonight and went away with this ...

and she was happy as a sand boy ... I've told her to be extra careful ... the glue wasn't dry properly, don't put anything on it except two books, sideways overnight and hopefully in the morning it will still all be stuck together ... lol.

Nothing startling; I used one of my old Fancy Pants papers, Prima flowers, a couple of pieces of bling, a little chippie, through in a couple of stitches and some name tags. Looks okay and DD was rapt ... so that's the main thing.

I also finished this layout earlier this week.

I've used a kit that I purchased from across the ditch [Country Papercrafts] and put together this layout. Now there are a few rules with the kit ... to go in the prize draw the following month, you can only use the contents of the kits and you aren't allowed to add extra embellishments. You can use ink, stamps, paint etc. I really, really wanted to sew on this one ... but I didn't!!!! I was proud of myself actually.

I used Glimmermist on the chippie alphas and like the way that they turned out.

And before I forget, while DD was visiting I asked her to pick a number - she did and it was number 7 ... and when I checked I saw that Goldilocks was number 7 and has won the Maya Road chipboard RAK. I laughed and said to DD, the girls aren't going to believe that it wasn't rigged - Goldilocks is my sister [Tracy] ... so I asked DD to pick another number as well and it was number 12 ... so Mummymoo heading your way will be a RAK as well. Enjoy ladies.

On that note ... I had better load my layout over at CPC and then I am heading back into my scrap room.

Night,
M

And wouldn't you know it ...

it's Wednesday ... again.

I tell you, the weeks truly just disappear and they seem to be disappearing even quicker these days ... I wonder if it's an age thing. I am SO NOT going there people. It was just a thought, honest!!!

So it's time to woo hoot again. So let's go ...

Woo hoot ... I had a box of scrapping goodies sitting on the conservatory door step when I got home from work tonight. I had a play on Trade Me on Sunday night and bagged more than a few bargains ... definitely a woo hoot!!!

Woo hoot ... I was in Whitcoulls today and grabbed some chippie alphas and some black and white papers. I've got another layout rolling around in my head. Not enough hours in the day that's my problem.

Woo hoot ... I believe that it stayed dry outside today. I must admit that I did notice it was a little lighter this morning when I drove to work and I can say the same again tonight. I scooted out the door at 5.00 pm on the dot ... big woo hoot!!!!!

Haven't had a look yet, but I should be woo hooting - hopefully my pantry cupboard had a clean out today, shelves wiped and restacked ... I say hopefully, cos I asked DS to do that for me today with it being the school holidays ... now edited to add ... woo hoot ... yep he did just that. I'm a happy camper.

And I'm going to woo hoo the fact that I am going to be creative tonight and NOT dither in my scrap room. It's going to happen - ROFLMAO.

On that note ... will finish my nice latte coffee, surf a little and go and be creative AND remember to do the draw for my wee RAK later tonight.

Enjoy your evening, keep warm and be nice to one and other.

Time to share

Have a look at this wee cutie ...

Russell and I went to his long service awards dinner on Friday night ... he has been with the same employer now for 15 years. Long service dinners are held for staff who have given 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years service every year. They have awards presentations, photos taken, a fantastic meal, drinks, music [a band]. A good night out all in all. Not many employers recognise service the way they do. They look after their staff well. At the tables there was a beautifully presented orchid ... a truly delightful wee gift for the ladies ... how cute is that - just gorgeous and so I thought that I would share.

Thought that I would share these goodies as well. Debs was putting together an order and so I got her to get me these wee goodies. The courier box arrived on Friday, but because I was in such a rush when I got in the door on Friday night, to get back out again ... I didn't open it up until very late Friday night ... and woo hoo ... some more goodies to play with.

The mailboxes are something special ... so will have to give serious thought to what I am actually going to do with them ... as you should!!!

In the chipboard swap last month with the girls at the Sketchbook I received a wee chain full of th chipboard birds and wait for it ... an owl ... Maya Road product ... I hadn't seen them before. Just gorgeous. I grabbed four or five sets and they were in with my goodies ... see a set in the picture ... so I am going to RAK a set of them ... so anyone that leaves a comment on this post will go in the draw ... must remember to diarise to do the draw on Woo Hoot Wednesday ...

What else.

Two layouts to share as well. I put these layouts together from the sketch with the ladies at Scrappin Patch.

And wait for it ... I used my Cuttlebug again - first of all I cut out the heart using my Cricut, put it through the Cuttlebug and then I used Pearl glimmermist over the top ... love the effect.

Neither of these layouts photographed very well the other day - I put it down to the time of the year and the miserable lighting - both natural and electric - lol.

Edited to add ... sorry for the crick in the neck - why did one go this way and the other appear all right ... technology ... grrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

And this layout I pulled out an old pizza box - one of Meg's kits from Scrapbook Essentials. See Meg, I do get around to using the products - sometimes it just takes a little time - ROFLMAO.

And, I did put together a layout for the weekend challenge - red, white and blue and stars with the girls at Sketchbook - but won't upload it to the gallery at the moment. I have used a pic of my Dad in military uniform and I want him to have a quick look at it before I upload it anywhere. A very simple layout for me, with very few embellishments. I didn't want to get anything wrong. I bought a K&CO military pack when I was in the States a couple of years ago and finally opened it tonight and whipped up the layout, but as I said, I want him to see it first.

On Meg's blog she challenged us to make a card and send someone snail mail, so I'm more often than not up for a challenge ... so a card will be on its way to someone this week.

Right then, had better get back into that mess of mine - sometimes it's known as a scrap room, sometimes it's more of a disaster zone - lol.

Night,
Me

P.S. before I sign off for the night ... I received an envelope of embroidery threads this week - thanks Angel.

Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Magazine

Let's see if this works ... if it appears on my blog ... this looks like a super duper idea ... Janine [mummymoo] one for little Moo's bedroom wall.

This looks sensational.

Have fun.

P.S. okay, so it works, you get to read everyone else's comments, but that's okay ... brilliant idea ... easy peasy!!!!!

Need your help ...

I've been reading my buddy Angel's blog and she gently reminded us that she is an enabler and don't we know it ... said nicely, honest my friend!!!

So I've copied the following straight from her blog ...

"Now I seem to have gathered a reputation as an enabler, and of late I have been pretty quiet in that area. However I want to enable you for a good cause. Now this bit of enabling wont cost you a cent and in fact wont take too much of your time. Can you please check this site out, register and cast a vote for the Children’s Autism Foundation. It is for a good cause and wont take much of your time. Can you also please spread the word and tell at least five people. This organisation is in the running for a $15′000.00 donation, please cast a vote for them. ..."

Now this is the website here that you need to check out ... cos I don't think the linky thing will work on a copy and paste and you all know that I'm totally useless at the linky thing [I know that I keep repeating myself] ... so you need to go here ... www.sovereignsunshine.co.nz

Please register and vote ... and I too think it is for a worthy cause ... we need to boost the Children's Autism Foundation numbers ... so go to it!!!!

And guess what ...

it's Wednesday again. My-oh-my they roll around quickly these days. Scary really!!!

Now I don't know if Blogger is going to play nicely tonight while I blog, so this could be short and sweet. I was in bloglines before and everything was crazy ... I supposedly had 100+ updates to read on a few blogs ... not likely I was thinking and I was thinking right ... must be a wee gremlin in the system somewhere - ROFLMAO.

So it's time to play Woo Hoot Wednesday and what am I going to woo hoot about today ... thinking cap on.

I've been quite creative of late ... and of course I shared with you all a few layouts last weekend.

Just about finished another couple, putting the final touches on them ... I'm changing my scrapping habits a little by the looks of things of late. Still like my lines, don't get me wrong, but I like 'adding' things these days. I'm liking more bright colours and that's a good thing in the middle of winter ... bolder and brighter.

I can woo hoot my back atm ... it's heaps better. Still feel the odd twinge from time to time but at least I'm not walking around as though I have something stuck in my rear end ... ROFLMAO ... cos I've been told that on numerous occasions over the last couple of weeks.

Going to DH's long service awards dinner this weekend ... so I need to be able to dance a little. Although after a few drinks I'm sure it will numb the pain if there is any ... until the day after ... lol. Mind you in saying that, I already have an appointment with the massage therapist for Monday - it's called thinking ahead ... just jesting. I had to cancel my appointment for this week and it's the next available appointment.

And angelic one ... I haven't blogged the 100 reading material list ... cos my list would look more than a little pathetic - unfortunately. I love to read to be honest, but looking at that list, obviously not the right reading material and so I will NOT put said list on my blog - cos not enough would be highlighted ... lol. I might have to change my reading habits. I still like to read soppy, relaxing, soppy, relaxing ... get the picture ... books ... these books take me to faraway, romantic places ... lol!!!

I can woo hoot over my new blind being hung in the dining room ... a big woo hoot ... it was installed this afternoon. So now I wait for my nets to arrive. Ordered the new curtain for the doorway as well ... they contacted the manufacturer and managed to find a piece of fabric that is the same as in the lounge and dining room ... bit woo hoot there. Cos now I don't have to make horrible decisions on what alternative fabric to choose, cos there is no need ... woo hoo!!!!

So now I'm going to woo hoot the fact that I am heading into my scrap room to have a little play ...

Night all.

If we live at the bottom of the world

well very close to it ... Beverley must live close to the top ... lol.

Beverley [and this isn't Bubbles] has a competition on her blog and I thought that I would share with everyone. I'm supposed to do the linky thing to her post and you guys [figure of speech know me - I can't link to save myself] ... sometimes I'm a little technologically challenged ... so go here and do what you need to do to go in the draw to win a little something from Beverley.

http://craftymoments.blogspot.com

Edited ... well it's the right address ... but something's not quite right ... so type it in your browser bar the long way if you want to play - but my linky thing in my side bar works ... crikey - standing here with hands on hips ...

So Beverley enjoy the big countdown until your 40th birthday.

Every day is a challenge and some days are more challenging than others - but make the most of every day.

So read on a bit further everyone and all will be revealed.

40 days starts right here ...

Ooooops! Off to a great start - it got too dark to take a photo of the fabby prize up for grabs today!

Today's Offering?
They say that life begins at 40 & I'm hoping that they are right! LOL. So today, post me a comment with your idea for what I should do to make sure my 40s are fabulous. And just to make sure no-one misses out with the whole time zones thingy ... you have until midnight (BST) Thursday July 3rd to join in!! I'll draw a winner using the random number generator & announce it here on Friday July 4th. AND for every 40 comments ... I'll add another prize!!!

So there you have it ... I know that I like getting happy mail in my mail box and I'm thinking that you all do ... good luck.

And I've just whipped into a couple of blogs from the links already - some very inspirational creativity ... woo hoo ... and that's got to be good for you.

Hi there and welcome back. Yep, I'm on a roll. I realised that I hadn't shared this layout - another one ... White, green and orang...
