Special friends ...

I'm back to share a little more creativity with you.

Christmas is knocking on our door - it's not too far away and that wee man in red will put in his annual appearance.

Special friends, special gifts - family gifts, special wrapping and part of that wrapping normally involves a little tag making and I love to make tags.

Our friends at 3Quarter Designs release a new card collection every month and I've made these star shaped tags using their Season's Greetings card collection.

A whole lot of fussy cutting, time spent running dies through my die cutting machine.

A whole lot of layering, throw in a few crafting fibres, some snow, a little inking and voila.

and if you look extra closely at this tag you will see some embossing - gorgeous chipboard stars ...

[I may have had a wee incident with the embossing powder container - and what a mess it created]

These special tags will adorn some very special gifts ...

Until next time, happy crafting my friends - hope you find a little time to be crafty too.

Merry and Bright ...

The team at 3Quarter Designs release a new card collection every month - you can see them all here.

Each and every one of them is unique - they make creativity a whole lot easier.  They truly do.

Let me share a little creativity from their Season's Greetings card collection.

Made from scratch with a mix of cardstock of patterned paper.

Lots of photos ahead - photo heavy post - you  have been warned.

Cardstock patterned paper, fussy cutting, muslin, snow, tiny polystyrene balls, ribbons, twine, ink

and a whole lot of playing ...

lots of pockets for tags ...

the flowers are from the team at Imagine If ...

the star tag is made from corrugated card - think to yourself ex pizza box from crafting supplies - have to reuse and recycle where one can - can't throw these things out ... just saying ...

Happy crafting my friends,

Until next time - take care

Armful of flowers

 Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my little ol' blog - it's been a while - I know I say that from time to time - sometimes my friends, life really does get in the way of being creative - time passes us by and then I think to myself, must share, must share and then another day or two or ten pass me by again.

So let me take time to share another card - one you have seen, well the style you have seen before.

An armful of flowers - a card that can be used for birthday wishes, a sympathy card, a hello - how you doing type card.  I've got a few of these cards to share at some stage - made with different papers they all look similar but then they all look different - colours of the papers make each of them totally unique - well I think so anyway.

This one is made using the fabulous papers from the Serene Moments card collection from the team at 3Quarter Designs - have a look here.

Hopefully I will be back again in the next few days to share a little more creativity.

Don't be shy - say hello.

Until next time - happy crafting.

Graffiti

Cardstock, patterned paper, clear butterfly stickers and some very old rub-ons.
No other embellishments - now that's not like me at all.
A brickwork graffiti card.

Hello Sunshine

Hi there and welcome back to my wee creative space in the world.

Today I'm sharing a little creativity - a little black, a little yellow and a little white - gorgeous colour combination and I'm using the latest card collection from the team at 3Quarter Designs and it's called 'hello sunshine' - appropriately named.

as you can see, I've even had a play by adding a round mirror

have to say it made it a little tricky when it came time to take the photo - but I got there

These colours definitely brightened my day and remember too that it is in the middle of winter in my part of the world - so colours that brighten ones day - well it truly does give you those warm fuzzies when you are creating.

Must go - keep warm and dry my friends and if you are living in my part of the world, hope you are finding a little more time to be creative now the the weather isn't playing nicely.

Until next time,

Blooming Friendship creativity

Hi everyone,

I'm back to share a little creativity using Couture Creations 'Blooming Friendship' paper collection.

A card that is a gift in itself.  A double pouch card.

The front of the card ... it has a pouch that has another card in it.

The back of the card ... that has a pouch with a tag tucked inside.

Let's get started.

Cut a piece of white cardstock 4 1/4" x 12".

Turn on its side and score at 1 3/4", 6", 10 1/4".

Cut patterned paper panels :

2 pieces 1 3/4" x 4 1/4"

2 pieces 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"

Turn cardstock on its side and score and stand just like in the photo.

Adhere patterned paper to the two inside panels as pictured.

Adhere the patterned paper to the two end panels - on the side showing underneath the white cardstock.

Using a 1" circle punch cut out a piece similar to a half moon [but not quite that big].  Does that make sense?

Now you can see the other side of the smaller fold that makes the pouch.

Cut four pieces of patterned paper 1" x 1 3/4" and score in half lengthwise to make a hinge.  It makes the hinge less bulky if you use patterned paper for the hinge instead of cardstock.

Adhere double sided tape - trim if required.

With a pair of scissors angle cut each end and adhere to the inside along the edge to form the pouch so that it closes neatly.

I've made a tag to tuck inside one of the pouches.

I've made a card to tuck inside the pouch on the front of the card.

This card was made loosely around the idea of the hinge card that was in one of the weekly kits that Daisy Chain Scrapbooks have available for sale.

Fabulous weekly card kits and they include written instructions.

Card and tag ...

and here is inside the pouch card itself ...

Instead of making a tag you could purchase a gift card and tuck it inside the pouch.

Happy crafting everyone.
Until next time
