Eye candy

quite like that term. Here's what I have been playing around with lately ... time for show and tell.

I paid a lot of money for this scrapping album years ago ... $50, I kid you not and it has remained empty. I think I bought it after our first trip to the big ol' US of A and that was back in 2001, quit possibly a few years after that though in all honesty ... crikey. But that's still a while ago. Well it's not empty any longer ... I've put the following two layouts in there ... woo hoo ... it's a start.

Although I just noticed right then, I still have yet to do the jurnalling on this one ...

Now I really like the way that I have put this together - a little bit of this and a little bit of that ... not like me at all. But I've done a few layouts a little differently lately and like the effect.

I've collected quite a collection of American bits and bobs which I'm sure will feature of plenty of pages in the upcoming months.

And then I've put this one together. Used the dry embossing with my rather neglected Cuttlebug. A Christmas present which has now had its second outing and I love it ... this one is for the celebrity challenge with the girls at the Sketchbook ... woo hoo. Talk about thinking outside the square and doing something out of the norm ...

I'm actually going to flick this one to Scrap the Teenz - as it comes under the special birthday celebration theme they currently have on their blog as well.

I had a real play with this one. Used some new papers that were just being unpacked at Inkspiration last week, a little chipboard, I think it is Cosmo Cricket, a little hand sewing, throw in a little hand journalling, a flower and there you have it. Oops, forgot that I used my water thread punch thingymajig as well.

My hand journalling reads : Where have the years gone? Look at you all grown up. We may have had our differences over the years but never forget that you are my baby girl and I love you. Always and for ever. With love, Mum x

It took me ages to figure out a way to put my hand journalling on this layout and I like the way the whole page looks. I actually really like the whole thing.

Right then, on that note, had better disappear. The lux is still sitting in the kitchen and it's not going to work sitting there all by itself. A litle input is required ... that would be moi!!!

Enjoy your Sunday afternoon everyone.
Later,
M

Beautiful layouts Mrs Frizz - cracks me up how you say a bit of this and a bit of that - if I followed that method I would not end up with the stunning work you do lol!!

You've been very busy Mrs Frizz ... that is a gorgeous layout about your little big girl. So that cuttlebug is going to get more of a workout in the future is it? Love the embossed look. I'd give quite a bit to have my lux work by itself though!

Lovely layouts there Mrs Frizz! Love how you used the cuttlebug.... I had grand ideas and got done in by the size I was working with. Oh well....

Loving the white space look you're going with at the moment... very cool.

So they invented the internet but they haven't yet come up with a vacumn cleaner that can do the job properly by itself...there must be a conspiracy somewhere LOL! More stunning work Michelle...

Gorgeous layouts, Michelle! I love that American layout. I've done a few American ones but feel a bit odd since I don't live in America lol. But I have to get it through to people that my kiddos are still American ;)

Your layouts have changed so much and they look just fabulous! Outstanding work, buddy ;)
