So this week it was time to scrap about sports with the girls at SBO ... now it's not as though I don't have enough photos to scrap about sports ... come on now ... but I thought a little outside the square and thought back to some journalling and a rugby final and decided to go with that.
So ... hidden under my papers is two pages of journalling, I kid you not ... me and journalling and sharing journalling ... doesn't happen very often and in the past people have commented on it ...
So one lifts the tag that says, you guessed it ... [lift open] and there you will find all my journalling.
I used the latches as embellishments as a gate and then used the key and key lock, as in you need to use the key to unlock the door to the gate to read my journalling ...
Yeah I know ... what the ...
So my journalling reads :
Just for the record, it was a big day on Saturday.
There was a little rugger to watch around the region.
The young fella was playing in the U16 rugby final. Apparently he didn't play too shoddy either, just quietly ... in fact, it would appear he played rather well.DH was there with the video camera on hand and the tripod.
I've since watched most of the game. I will say it again ... he played rather well - lol.
DH arrives home after the game, as he is going down the hall I ask him ... well?I get 'yeah'.Me, did they go alright?
I get 'yeah'.
Well ...
He goes ... 17 ... big huge pause here ... 19 ... he's being a bit of a sod really ...
We won 19 - 17 ... he did it to get a reaction ... you guessed it ... he gotta reaction [and some].
I asked where the lad was ... apparently he wanted to travel back into town on the bus with the boys - can totally understand that ... as you would, as winners.
He gets home ... he's got half the paddock on his body ... well looking at the state of him, he surely couldn't have left that much dirt behind ... he was fair covered in it.
He was stoked.
He heads into the kitchen, opening up cupboards. I ask him what he is looking for ...
He heads into the kitchen, opening up cupboards. I ask him what he is looking for ...
He felt he deserved one of these ...
He ran himself a bath, had a nice relaxing soak in the bath tub.
What can I say ... I know just how relaxing it can be having a nice quiet drink and a soak in the tub ... ummmmmmmmmmm ... wonder where he could get that from ... lol.
That long hot soak in the tub was cut a little short ... buga ... gotta hate that ... but hey ... there was a little more rugger to watch before the day was done ...
SOUTH ... LAND!!!
The big game played on Saturday 14 August, 2010 – Southland Secondary Schools Under 16 Final – Southland Boys’ High School Red vs DLS Midlands.
Journalling as blogged on Wednesday 18 August, 2010.
So there you have it ... definitely sports mad related, might not be quite what they are looking for in a layout ... yep, I could have taken pics of rugby boots, rugby bags, cricket shoes, cricket bags and scrapped them ... oops ... that's right, will definitely have pics like that ... but I decided to get my story down and it's a story that we won't forget and that's what it's all about.
On that note.

Hahahaa - thanks for sharing! Great LO - you have to scrap stories like that. I am sure you will get round to doing the "standard" sports pics another time!
Fab layout Michelle, and love the story.
Love your journalling!I also love that you thought outside the square for this one :-) What a great page.
Love the layout, Mrs Frizz! And I enjoyed reading that story for the second time ... glad you a) blogged about it and b) scrapped it!
