Adam "Influence" Black functions as the beloved bassist for Philly's own Hoagie-core pioneers Body Spray. We got a chance to see Body Spray as part of a Pissed Jeans gig at Boot & Saddle a quite few years back now "B.C." (Before COVID-19) and became instant fans. We've been in contact with Black on-and-off ever since. Legend has it, Body Spray's members met in a bowling league. "We rolled together and, then, we rocked together," as they perfectly spin it. At the time of said bowling meet-up, Dan Haddigan & Eric Kenney were in Problems and Adam Black & Ian Kiesel were in Cannon. It looks like it's poised to be a pretty BIG week for Philly Hoagie-core pioneers Body Spray , as their long-awaited debut full-length, Music to Fall Down To will be released digitally this Friday, March 15th. They're also, playing a Music to Fall Down To Record Release Show on "St. Body Spray Day," Sunday, March 17th, at Ortlieb's with Plot & Table. Just this past Friday, Adam Black, Dan Haddigan, Eric Kenney & Ian Kiesel unleashed their second music video from Music to Fall Down To for Bandcamp single, "New Smell." It was directed by James Powers and edited by B.S.' own Adam Black and features the band running around "the mean streets" of Philly wreaking havoc, all the while, donning giant middle finger masks on their heads. Hell by Body Spray Body Spray are a Noise Rock band hailing from South Philly , who first met while competing in a local bowling league. Back in March 2017, I attended Pissed Jeans' WHY LOVE NOW? Release Show at Philly venue/watering hole Boot & Saddle and Body Spray , along with M Ax Noi Mach , were the were the show's openers. From what I can remember, Body Spray tore it up and played a completely frantic, rousing set to help get everyone amped up for The Jeans .
