The Abruptors Share "Best Wishes, Warmest Regards" Music Video from Forthcoming Album Noticeably Cheerless (Asian Man Records)

The Abruptors (CREDIT: Chris Graue) New York-based Ska/Rocksteady group The Abruptors have returned to release their new single, "Best Wishes, Warmest Regards," via Asian Man Records. An ode to the people in their lives that are better left behind, this is the lead single off The Abruptors' forthcoming album, Noticeably Cheerless. The new single is unrelentingly upbeat in the face of its sore subject matter and its accompanying video by fellow musician and director Chris Graue (Lo(u)ser) mirrors that perfectly. In-between clips of the band performing on stage, you can catch shots of them riding a miniature train, juggling, and getting into hijinks with goats. The black-and-white video radiates a light-hearted, optimistic attitude that is woven throughout the song. "Best Wishes, Warmest Regards" is an allusion to popular series Schitt's Creek and features a host of horns by their resident saxophone sovereign and lead vocalist, Toni LaMantia, alongsid...

The Bruce Lee Band Recruits Fishbone's Angelo Moore & Jeremy Hunter for New Single & Music Video "Did You Find The Money Farm?" (Asian Man Records)

Mike Park, Jeremy Hunter & Angelo Moore in a video still from "Did You Find The Money Farm?" music video (SOURCE: The Bruce Lee Band) The Bruce Lee Band is back at it, a year after its acclaimed Division In The Heartland EP—released a mere seven months after its predecessor, Rental!! Eviction!! ! "Did You Find The Money Farm?" is the first single from the band's upcoming full-length album, ONE STEP FORWARD, TWO STEPS BACK, delivering a sneering indictment of the dehumanizing excesses that are in lockstep with Late-stage Capitalism. "You pattern your life after powerful people, follow the path through the door / one step inside and you'll never look back, you ride on the backs of the poor," vocalist Mike Park sings over ominous horns and an unrelenting rhythm. It's a serious message delivered with the loose swagger The Bruce Lee Band has perfected over the past few decades. "Did You Find The Money Farm?" also, marks the first m...

Director Chris Graue Re-emerges As Lo(u)ser with 8-bit/Ska Punk Single "Growing Up" & Nostalgic Music Video (self-released)

Lo(u)ser is the new solo project of 8-bit/Ska Punk musician Chris Graue. His past music-making credits include The Maxies, The 131ers, Suburban Legends, Pizza Wolf, Naronic Distress, and The Scene Report. As a director and editor, Graue has filmed and created music videos for the likes of The Bombpops, The Bruce Lee Band, Goldfinger, NOFX, Mike Park (Asian Man Records,) Red City Radio, Reel Big Fish, Frank Turner, and We Are The Union. It appears as though Chris Garue may have initially kick-started Lo(u)ser back in 2015 with a 2-track EP entitled Gold, Frankincense, and Brr quietly uploaded to Bandcamp on a Name-Your-Price basis. Now, Graue has returned with a brand spankin' new glitched out single, "Growing Up," from Lo(u)ser. "Despite these accomplishments, Chris feels suspended in time as if enveloped in the forcefield of some demented Stasis Rune." "With each ticking second, his kinetic energy builds until finally exploding onto the music scene ...

NOFX/Frank Turner Share "Thatcher F***ed The Kids" & "Bob" Covers from Upcoming West Coast vs. Wessex Split Album (Fat Wreck Chords)

Billed like an old school boxing "fight night" poster, the cover image for NOFX/Frank Turner's upcoming split album explicitly boasts, "FAT WRECK BOXING CLUB, WEST COAST VS. WESSEX, 10 ROUNDS OF MEDIO-CORE, NOFX CHAMPIONS VS. FRANK TURNER CHALLENGER." It features NOFX frontman "Fat" Mike Burkett & Frank Turner (Möngöl Hörde, Million Dead) posing in boxing gloves and gear akin to Andy Warhol & Jean-Michel Basquiat's iconic black-and-white boxing photographs. Announced earlier this week, Fat Wreck Chords announced said split 10-song album; West Coast vs. Wessex will feature NOFX covering five Frank Turner songs on "Side A" and vice versa on "Side B." Along with said split's announcement, Fat Wreck Chords released NOFX's cover of Frank Turner's "Thatcher F**ked The Kids" accompanied by Turner's cover of NOFX's "Bob." Both tracks are currently featured on Bandcamp , along with pre-ord...
