Tramp - Put A Record On
Studio recordings @320
{Out of Print}

Notes:

Tramp was a British blues band active during the late 1960s and early 1970s on an intermittent basis. This on/off activity and the loose, transient nature of the band's line-up were reflected in the group's name.
The line-up centered around the brother-sister pairing of Dave Kelly and Jo Ann Kelly, and included various members of Fleetwood Mac, plus various session musicians. The band released two albums: Tramp in 1969, and Put A Record On in 1974. All members participated in many other projects before, after, and even during their time with Tramp.

The gentleman being groomed obviously has a case of hypertrichosis, or excessive hairiness.

Dave Kelly - vocals, guitar
Jo Ann Kelly - vocals
Bob Brunning - bass guitar
Mick Fleetwood - drums
Danny Kirwan - guitar
Bob Hall - piano
Dave Brooks - saxophone
Ian Morton - percussion

Danny Kirwan - Midnight in San Juan

Danny Kirwan
Midnight in San Juan

192kbps/mp3

Notes!

Danny Kirwan is probably unknown to most mainstream fans of the later Fleetwood Mac, but his contributions to the earlier incarnation of the band were tremendous in the four years he was one of their lead guitarists as well as a singer/songwriter, between 1968 and 1972. Brilliantly talented, he significantly shaped their entire sound as they transitioned from a straight blues band to pop-rock. This album, a follow-up to his excellent Second Chapter --or even better, the very high-quality demo tracks for Second Chapter, put out on their own CD entitled Ram Jam City-- is absolutely great.

It really demonstrates the range of Danny's talents and musical interests, and not only is the guitar work wonderful, he is in fantastic voice as well. Tracks such as "I Can Tell," "Windy Autumn Day," and "I Can't Let You Go" are lively, energetic and very satisfying. "Angel's Delight" is another in a long line of very beautiful, intensely lyrical and moving songs by Danny, and his cover of "Look Around You" is masterful. This is absolutely worth every penny, no matter what the price!

(And check out the reggae version of the Beatles' "Let It Be.")

Danny Kirwan - Ram Jam City

Peter Green never had it so good when Danny Kirwan was there in Fleetwood Mac.  Here, though, as a solo artist after leaving FM, Danny has gone more for the country-rock material which would categorize Poco and others.  "Ram Jam City" in two versions (the banjo helps it along with some nice acoustic chords) shows this.  (So do the horseshoe-clopping woodblocks and the fiddle in version #2!)

Thanks to a generous source.

1. Mary Jane
2. Cascades
3. Falling In Love With You (Earlier Version)
4. Odds And Ends (Alternate Take)
5. Odds And Ends

9. Silver Streams (Earlier Version)
10. Best Girl In The World
11. Falling In Love With You
12. Lovely Days (With False Starts)
13. Ram Jam City (Earlier Instrumental Version)
