This is the first of the "Pop Concerts" that I've digitized. The series seems to have been called Westwood One Startrak Profile, with a numbering system similar to the the other Westwood One shows....there's a number that indicates the year (83, 84, 85, etc...) and a second ascending number that indicates the number of shows in that particular year (83-1, 83-2, 83-3, etc.).
Most of the shows were "profiles" featuring released material, but some were live concerts, similar to the other WW1 live shows. The "Pop Concert" series have more mainstream bands compared to the other live shows. Acts I've seen in the Pop Concert series include the Little River Band, Chicago, Christine Mcvie, Duran Duran, Christopher Cross, Dan Fogelberg, Greg Kihn, Phil Collins, Moody Blues, and Michael McDonald.
This show features the pride of West Oakland, the Pointer Sisters, with a live concert from the height of their 1980's pop music fame, running through the big hits from the latter part of their career.
