Cream - Reunion 1993
Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame (plus rehearsals and sound check)
New York and Los Angeles, January 11-12, 1993

Excellent Quality various sources @320 (from flac)
Remastered by Graeme Pattingale

"Once again the bootleggers had done a shoddy job from the soundboard recording. I've tidied it up, balanced the channels and boosted the bass. Sounds a whole lot better even if the performance is a little flat. Ginger and Jack are sparking but EC isn't taking any chances. The short jam is quite tasty." ~Graeme Pattingale

Mick Taylor: four videos (1996, 2003, and 2009)

Promised as I did: more Mick Taylor: "Blues for Lost Days" (2003, with John Mayall); "Twisted Sister" (Dortmund, GER, 2009), "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" (July 2, 2009), and "Cerdanyola Blues" (1996).

Two are posted here. No, the sound and video isn't the best--but it's Mick. "Twisted Sister" has a nifty Bo Diddley beat to it behind the drums (another lefty playing a righty kit!) and bass, and Mick gets his guitar squealing. (Meanwhile, Denny Newman (his band is the Regulars) gets off some terrific pulls with his fingertips, and the camera doesn't track over quick enough.)

Another mystery is "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," during which
Mick turns his back on the audience for some reason, but continues to play. Mick also comes back with John Mayall in '03 for another gig.

Pulp - Live Aston Villa 1994

Pulp - Live Aston Villa 1994
Birmingham, UK

FM Source @256

Most bands hit the big time immediately and fade away, or they build a dedicated following and slowly climb their way to the top. Pulp didn't follow either route. For the first 12 years of their existence, Pulp languished in near total obscurity, releasing a handful of albums and singles in the '80s to barely any attention. At the turn of the decade, the group began to gain an audience, sparking a remarkable turn of events that made the band one of the most popular British groups of the '90s. By the time Pulp became famous, the band had gone through numerous different incarnations and changes in style, covering nearly every indie rock touchstone from post-punk to dance. Pulp's signature sound is a fusion of David Bowie and Roxy Music...

Oregon - Timisoara, Romania 2003

Oregon - Timisoara, Romania,
"Ion Vidu" Music College's Concert Hall
October 19, 2003

Soundboard @192

Oregon is a jazz and world music group, with core members Ralph Towner (guitar, piano, synthesizer, trumpet), Paul McCandless (woodwind instruments), Glen Moore (double bass, violin, piano), and Collin Walcott (percussion, sitar, tabla)

Towner, McCandless, Moore, and Walcott met as members of world music pioneer Paul Winter's "Consort" ensemble in the late 1960s. Their contributions were seminal in establishing the Winter Consort "sound" in compositions like Towner's "Icarus."

The four musicians broke away from Winter in 1970 to form their own group, Oregon (Towner and Moore met while students at the University of Oregon). They recorded their first record in 1970

King Crimson: "Larks Tongues in Aspic Part II" and "Frame by Frame" (videos)

Here's some video looks at one of the most unique bands to hit
the stage:  King Crimson.  I favor the later years because
Robert Fripp eventually (I think) cracked a smile onstage.
(No he didn't.  But just try and figure out his picking.)

Cheers to Bill Bruford for enthusiasm throughout his tenure--and would someone tell me what it is that Adrian Belew is doing with that guitar:  I've never quite seen anyone (even Hendrix) hump a Fender like that. Tony Levin also puts in some wild riffs on bass and the Chapman Stick--which is NOT a bass, but a sort of keyboard that can be tapped.

The Mars Volta - Live

From the ashes of At The Drive In comes The Mars Volta. You can still hear many of ATDI's hallmarks inside the spasmodic dynamics --it's just now they're immeasurably more complex, governed by time signatures responsible only to some alien logic, and cast out on ever more remote waves of mind-bending conceptual fantasy.

Okkerville River - The Stage Names Demos

Okkerville River - The Stage Names Demos
Studio Recordings @128

These recordings are the solo demos of each of the songs from the proper album and was limited to only 1500 copies.

Formed in 1998 in Austin, TX, Okkervil River steadily expanded their sound into a textured, dynamic brand of indie rock, replete with folk-rock influences and wide instrumentation. Vocalist Will Robison Sheff and drummer Seth Warren first rubbed shoulders as high-school students in Meriden, NH, a town they eventually left to attend different colleges. The two reconvened several years later in Austin, however, where they assembled Okkervil River with the help of bassist Zachary Thomas. The group recorded several EPs as a trio, including 2000's Stars Too Small to Use, before crossing paths with multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Meiburg at a local bar. Meiburg soon joined the band, and Okkervil River made their first big splash by playing the SXSW festival in March 2000.

Do not go where the path leads. Go where there is no path and blaze a trail…Tilibop is doing just that, as the talented, innovator of the Reggae Music Alternative Movement. His music has garnered him, rave reviews as his 38,000 friends on his My Space page will attest, a long with 1.5 million music lovers also listening with rapt attention. This reggae sensation had an appreciation for music, since his humble beginnings as a young child in St. Mary, Jamaica to growing up amidst the turmoil in the streets of Augustown, Jamaica.

Someone mentioned these guys...

*Original Notes
I've posted this on a torrent site, may as well post it here as well, heres what i said............ Heres a rarity, I've been told even the guy who taped it, and released it, and Dick from the band don't even have a copy of this...yet I've left it as is, i don't go in for altering the audio, I'd just fuck it up, there is a clicky noise near the beginning but i think it disappears about 1 minute in or so, its not bad played on the computer but on my hifi it was loud as fuck. I've ripped it to flac as the original sound quality is ok but not amazing so wanted to preserve as much of the sound as I could. This isnt actually a bluurg release either, it was released on a small Sheffield distro called "epileptic chainsaw tapes" and this was the 2nd release (epic 2), the guy who taped / released it was in a band called protest too. The set is 43minutes and 43 seconds long, this includes some interviewing and crowd noise due to a fight that occurred that night...i left the whole tape as is.

Jacqueline Mannering - "Shredding" (two videos)

Err...this is a Voodoo Wagon special news alert.  Now hear this! (Omigod, that is the truth.) Now hear this!  Err...this young nymph is Miss Jacqueline Mannering, from England.  She is a lead guitar player...she's...almost 18 this year...and...well...this is the sort of revenge that awaits some of us for having daughters.  Yes, she has a blog.  Behave yourself.

By the way: watch her left hand; her fingers.  Anything come to mind about them?  Then look at the size of those eyes.  Notice something funny pop up in your imagination, eh? Mmm-hmm.

Burns studied classical music at the University of California, Irvine, before starting his rock career, and Calexico formed after Burns met John Convertino in Los Angeles in 1990.

Jeff Healey Band - Slim's, San Francisco, CA, October 19, 1988

The late Jeff Healey will now play for you.  And yes, you're watching a blind man play with a guitar in his lap--and he's doing some crazy things, isn't he?  Just remember that he couldn't describe how it looks--but you can see that he's doing it, all right.
