Uploader's Comment: A comment from rtalwani on my Blondie May 4 1978 torrent asked if I had taped them in 1979 at the Palladium, with Fripp. I hadn't, but i did have a soundboard of that show. I didn't originally like the quality and gave it a "good" rating, sort of 3 out of 10. But I just gave it a listen and was suprised to find that it's really very good.

It's an odd mix, maybe a monitor recording for the rhythm section; certainly the bass and drums are quite present. But so is everything else, and it really is ok and doesn't even seem very far off the master. I took a quick look and it doesn't seem to be a common recording so here it goes. Maybe someone has a better copy, perhaps in stereo? This one seems to be mono.

I don't know the exact date, but this is the show that rtalwani was asking about because Fripp is on Sister Midnight and Heroes. My pitiful attempt at a songlist follows, feel free to correct...

The Blondie Supergroups show was probably the seventh show in the Supergroups concert series, and may have been the last to use the premium presentation format of a box, cue sheets on heavy weight paper, and plastic-lined disc sleeves.  The show's production credits added G.K. Productions, who aren't on the prior Cars show.  They later went on to do the "Night On The Road" series of live concerts. The Cars show which preceded the Blondie show was broadcast in October or November of '79, so there's a five month gap between the two...perhaps winter was a bad time for radio advertising.

The earliest of these shows were distributed in boxes, with similar cover designs.  The background of each box was a solid color covered in a pattern of dots, with the artist's name on the front and the show credits on the back.  The cue sheets were printed on premium paper, and the discs housed in plastic-lined disc sleeves.  Occasionally they "themed" the color of the box: The Moody Blues box is blue, and Blondie is yellow.

This version was digitized from the original syndicated radio discs and declicked in Audacity in October 2014.  Included are 300 dpi scans of the front cover, a disc label, and all four pages of the cue sheet.  Flac files of wavs. The only thing I edited out was the 700 Hz test tone. While this show is widely circulated, this is a fresh transfer and includes all of the short interviews with Deborah Harry.
