Necromunda: Get Jericho

Last Thursday my friend Orion stopped by to play some Necromunda. She brought her Enforcers and I thought it might be fun to see how well Kal Jeroicho and Scabs did against a full gang... all on their own...

Jericho and Scabs were set up in the centre and just had to escape off the edge of the boards. The coppers could set up anywhere with 4" of an outer edge. I put walls around most of the edges, so it wouldn't be TOO easy just to run off!

Jericho and Scabs

Cops

MORE Cops

Another Cop

STILL MORE COPS!

I probably shoudl have given Jericho and Scabs a few friends.

Scabs started things off moving forwards and plinking away at one of the Coppers, doing absolutely nothing...

One of the cops must have moved up...

Then Jericho went and shot the Captain... but only managed to pin him... because he's basically a terminator!?

Sniper dude shot at Scabs.

More cops moving up.

Bew! Bew! Jericho shooting his master-crafted, hot-shot laspistols at the enforcer captain.

One of the Enforcers tried to move in and apprenend Jericho - but this is where he SHINES - in close combat. He dropped her on her ass!

Then charged the Enforcer Captain... and... as good as Jericho IS in Close Combat... he is still no match for a freaking TERMINATOR!

Scabs taking more fire.

"Move a little to your left, boss... NO THE OTHER LEFT!?"

Sniper tires to get a line on Jericho.

ALL THE COPS swarming in!

Jericho breaks contact and tries to escape!

But there are just too many cops shooting at him some with stun weapons... others with freaking BOLTERS!?

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

It ended as almost a slapstick comedy. Jericho and one of the enforcers fell into one of the sludge vats.

He kept trying to get out.

But everytime he did, someone would just knock him back in.

Eventually the Enforcer Captain knocked him down and cuffed him! (something enforcers can do instead of a Coup de Gras! It has the same effect, but is a little more "fluffy")

Fun game. We're going to play some more Necromunda again this week. Seems the Coppers were bringing Jericho in because they needed help with a thing... A thing involving some REDEMPTIONISTS

Not much has been done for Orktober... but I have been busy drawing stuff for ARTOBER

I have gotten in a few other games towards the NEW 10x10 plan...

Necromunda - Sump Croc Hunt!

I picked up Necromunda: House of Shadow (House Delaque) book a few weeks back, when it came out.. So I figured I better get the gang out for our next game. Orion had suggested we try the Khymerix Hunt scenario from House of Blades (the House Escher book). Neither of us had a Khymerix... but Orion had a Sump Croc - so that seemed a suitable replacement. We used the scenario, as is, and even used the Khymerix stats.

One of the Guilds put up a bounty for a Sump Croc that was on the loose and causing a lot of trouble in their area of the underhive. It was a BIG bounty so lots of gangs went out looking for it - and also a few enforcers looking to make some extra cash...

Enforcers from the Omega Precinct.

One-Eyed Red Snakes - House Delaque gang.

Now, where's that Sump Croc...?

Oh. there it is!

Neo65145, on of the Delaque Juves, opened a door to find Enforcers sneaking up on the other side! Artifex, the Gang Leader, and Conflatura opened up with Bolter and Melta. I can't remember who hit, but the copper went down, and the Sump Croc, smelling the blood, burst up through the floor swallowing the downed enforcer whole!

Then it proceeses to attack the enforcers teammate who had been standing right behind him. Somehow she survived the Crocs initial snaps at her and let loose with a burst of quickly snapped off shots from her stub gun.

The croc, when hit, could make an initiative check and, if passed, would only take one damage from the attack and scarper back "into the Shadows"... or, i guess, in the Sump Crocs case, back into the sewers below!

Terrified Enforcer, hearing the death screams of their commrade, frozen in terror...

The other team of Enforcers pauses, hearing the confrontation beyond steel blast doors...

Before they even heard the call of "Enforcer Down!", the captain was already shouting; "It must be over there, MOVE!"

Quiet descends on the Underhive for the briefest of moments when the Croc dropped back into the sewer. Then both forces remembered the others were there and bullets and energy bolts began to fly.

A concussion grenade shattered the skull of another Juve and up came the Croc to feed again!

Before it scarpered again, it shredded another Delaque Ganger. Artifex, so horrified by the grizzly demise of his ganger, completely lost his shit (failed Cool Check and was Broken... and could not pass a Cool Check for the rest of the damned game to recover... so he crawled behind some barrels and cried and muttered to himself while listening to the rest of his gang die...)

Dazed by the concussion grenade and shaken by the violent and bloody dismembering of his commerade, Conflatura just couldn't bring his meltagun to bear quick enough. The Croc dissapeared into the sewers - only to pop up instantly again when another gangers arm was redused to a bloody mess by a frag grenade the Enforcers fired at them. After biting the downed ganger in half, it snatched Conflatura and dragged them both down into the sewers as more fire came its way...

Only a moment later, the Croc reappeared when ANOTHER Juve was beaten savagely by the Enforcer Captain.

Shot gun blasts and bolter rounds poured in from both sides. severely injuring the beast.

It fled, regenerated, and came back again for another snack when another enforcer charged in a shot a Delaque Ganger at point blank range.

The Enforcer was chomped upon by the Croc...

And then it turned it's attention to another Delaqu Ganger that had gotten its attention by pumpin gmore shot gun rounds into it! She did not survive long...

Shortly after that, one of the Enforcers finally took it down, securing for themselves the reward from the Guilders.

Another fun game of Necromunda! I have a feeling we'll be switching to KILL TEAM next week, though! At least for a bit... then, hopefully, maybe alternating between the two...?

We shall see...

Necromunda - Of Spiders and Scavvies

Last Wednesday (a week ago) Orion and Nic came by for another game of Necromunda. Nic just hung out and watched. The previous week's game kind of threw him in the deep end and he figured he'd rather watch a game or two to learn the rules better before playing again.

This week's scenario involved some Scavvies that had recently taken up residence in a local bad zone and had been bothering their neighbours in the underhive and the Enforcers of the Omega Precinct were sent into to evict them... or, rather, TERMINATE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!

Amongst all the other dangers, there was a Giant Necromundan Greenback Spider lurking near the Scavvies hideout...

It was assumed to be hiding in a mess of webs and couldn't be targeted unless the shooter was within 3" - also it would activate in the End Phase and if there were any models within 6" it would charge and attack them. Once its opponent was out of action it would return to the nest, unless there was another target within 6" of the nest.

Scavvies in their hideout. Njarlzd, the leader of the gang, along with Garf and Norg.

I'd thought of making the green slime toxic too.... but it seemed a bit much with all the other hazards present.

Doelgr, Njarlzd's lieutenant (a Champion) and Zog.

"Don't get any closer, there's a greenback in that mess of webs and they ain't friendly"

Rakr - another Scavvie - hiding out on his own.

O-320 "Cat" and O-266 "Six" approaching on the left.

O-259 "Niner" - Captain of Omega Precinct - leads a group of enforcers on the right flank.

Cat opened a large door only to find a MASSIVE ventilation fan sucking everything nearby towards it and decided to take another route.

Six moved in and was instantly sucked towards the fan! He quickly backed out to take cover behind the entrance.

..but not before echanging a few shots with Dolgr and Zog.

Njarlzd took a pot shot at the Captain and managed to pin him. Return fire from the other Enforcers seriously injured Garf.

Teh Greenback (played by Nic) attacked Zog.

Doelger leap across the pipe to help out Zog.

Rakr sneking around the flank, pinning Enforcers with blasts from his shotgun.

Doelger is injured by the Greenbacks Toxin!

At the end of Round two, the Scavies bottled out. At the start of Round three, Njarlzd, the leader of their gang, broke and fled... things went rapidly downhill from there...

Enforcers pumped some smoke into the Scavvies den, forcing them out. Garf, recovered from his injures was charged by Niner and taken out with a punishing blow from his shockstave.

I think Zog fled... or maybe he was taken out by fire from the enforcers, which allowed the Greenback to turn on Doelgr and finish him off.

Norg had also been seriously injured and just coudn't recover.

Having finished off Garf, Niner clambered into the Scavvies den and cuffed the bleeding Norg - taking him into custody. He figured back at the precinct house he could be pumped for information as to where the others might have fled to.

This left Rakr, who continued to exchange fire with the Enforcers on the right flank.

Cat finally made it around the flank only to find all the scavvies down and a massive Necromundan Greenback feeding on them.

"Throne! That's a big 'un!"

Rakr Kept the Enforcers busy for a round or two, but was hopelessly outnumbered and outmatched.

I can't remember if he went down in a hail of bolter fire from Nines or just broke and fled...

Since their job was to secure the area and make it "safe", Cat charged the Greenback and, I think, took it out...? This is the problem with doing game reports a week late when you don't take notes...

Fun game, though, fast and bloody. I like playing games like this!
