I remember hearing this album back in the day and thinking to myself that I wish they would have gotten a better production because it wasn't punchy and loud enough but obviously, the talent is there with Chastain on guitar and Leather on vocals (at first before I saw a photo I thought the singer was a dude). They created some good songs that I would still like to hear live. This might not be for the younger crowd, but some of us old-timers may appreciate it.

I have this band's 1986 album, After the Fall From Grace, but never saw this one in my local record stores and so it went unheard by me until recently now that I have been on my midlife crisis nostalgia kick. I have to say that I wish I would have found this one back then because I like these songs and I'm pretty sure they would have had more of an impact on me back in the day.

When I discovered Exciter they became my favorite band for 1984 and I had so much anticipation for this album but LLtL let me down for some reason. Don't get me wrong, this was a pretty good album at the time but it wasn't Violence & Force.

Here is another vinyl that I bought and played the Hell out of back in the day. These guys are from Los Angeles and damn I wish I would've lived out here back then. I would have seen all of my '80's favs and been an even bigger metalhead stoner than I am now. Wait a minute, maybe it's better that I didn't live out here then.

I bought this album back in '85 and I've always liked it, so much so that that I searched out the CD here recently after almost 35 years. These tracks represent the strongest material that this band would ever create in my opinion, the 2nd half of the disc tails off a bit but overall a highly worthy offering from back in the day \m/\m/

Agent Steel is a very interesting band in my evolution, I bought Skeptics Apocalypse on vinyl back in 1985 and I loved this album and used to play the Hell out of it and turned all of my friends onto it as well. But, I never found any of their other '80s releases in my local record stores back in those days and then I moved on to death metal, so Agent Steel basically disappeared from my radar for the last 30 years. Then recently I came across this reissue version online and decided to buy it for sentimental reasons and I downloaded their other 80's stuff, which then prompted me to go buy their 1999 & 2003 releases as well, and now I have fully regained my appreciation for this band in both of their incarnations. This 1st album represents some killer mid '80s metal \m/\m/

Back in 1985, I thought that the opening/title track of this album was so badass, in fact, the first 5 tracks on this album + Fountain of Youth were/are all pretty good.

This album was pretty killer back in the day, or at least for my tastes, it was. The sound quality is pretty rough at times but this was basically a demo that Combat released as a full-on album. The YouTube link above is a cover of Motorhead's Ace of Spades that is totally killer in my opinion.
