 CarlG recently mentioned in the chat that Anasarca has a new album due out this year. Their first release since this album in 2017. I was very excited for this album and purchased a physical copy, and then my first impression was that it was different from what I anticipated. Still, after all of the years that had passed since Dying in 2004, it was/is still a very good offering. Here is an album that seemed to slip past some of us around here, originally released in 2017, but I hadn't seen it until April 2023, at least that's the folder it resides in. Interestingly, CarlG brought them up last weekend and I had just been listening to this for the first time too and wanted to promote them as well. Metal minds think alike I guess. This is a decent offering of straight-up, no-rills death metal and not bad at all.
