Interesting bio-fact for Last Sacrament:

Started in 2006 by guitarists Ron Sword and Mike Maletta. Last Sacrament's music requires guitars with unconventional frettings, which the band members built themselves. They currently use 16, 26, and 31-tone guitars and play "the type of death metal we don't see as often."

Additionally, the band uses metatonal/microtonal scales. Their debut full-length Maniacal Meditations is completely recorded in 16-note scales instead of the conventional 12-note (chromatic) scale model typically used in rock-based music like death metal.
