I am sure there are quite a few people who come here who will completely skip over this band because of the metalcore/groove tag, but I'm here to tell you that this disc is really a pretty good listen. There are some nice riffs and leads, and I like the dude's vocal delivery and cadence. Not bad at all.

As is quite often the case, I found this one on one of the flooding sites, you know, the sites that post "everything new" without consideration for what may or may not actually be good. Well, I finally worked up the desire to listen to this. I hesitated because of the metalcore tag, and even though I used to be totally into metalcore back in the late 90s - early 2000s, I had reservations on this one. I was wrong, though; this is really pretty good, which is made unfortunate by the fact that they already split up.

Did anyone get into this disc a couple years back? I did, but I know that the metalcore tag turns a lot of people off even though I don't hear much core it's death metal just melodic at times and aggressive at others.

So, here's a disc that I used to dig on quite a bit but it will definitely be an acquired taste for many of you. These guys certainly flew the metalcore flag, so that will be a turn off to most but their music here had a blackened doomy feel that kept it interesting and I liked the dude's schizophrenic vocal style.
