The year 2012 is coming to a close tonight and I have spent several hours today looking back on the music that has influenced me during the year. I think that 2011 was probably a better year for metal releases, but 2012 has been quite good as well. I've never been good at creating top 10 lists or picking an album of the year, because there is simply too much to pick from and I am constantly looking for something new. I have put together a list of my top 20 releases for this year, these are in no particular order, and given more time to think about it I may exclude some and add others, but as of right now this is my list.
Since I have such a difficult time in narrowing down these lists, I am also including some others that deserve honorable mention and your attention. Being metal heads, we are all very opinionated so I am sure that many will disagree with some of my selections, but that's okay because everyone has an asshole...I mean an opinion :).
