Damn, this band has been around since 2011, and this is only their 2nd release and I for one really like it. Their first album is from 2014, and I've never heard that one, but it's available for NYP, so I will definitely check it out. One of the things that makes this band very intriguing is that 4/5 members have been in the band since the beginning, honing their skills, and I think it shows on this release, because it's fukking killer!

Avernal is not a band that I have listened to a lot over the years, even though they have been at it since 1993. However, I do like their 2016 album, and this new one is really hitting me pretty hard as well. Metal-Archives states that they are tagged as death-n-roll here in later years, but I am not hearing any of that on this disc, just thrashing death metal.

This is an interesting band and album. I hadn't listened to Haxprocess much, even though I had purchased their previous album back in 2023. This is the band's Transcending Obscurity debut and it is quite good, actually. It is only 4 tracks, but it clocks in at over 44 minutes of quality progressive death thrash metal.

God damn, Glorious Depravity came back hard on their Transcending Obscurity debut! These guys have created one helluva entertaining death metal album and shows a strong step forward from their already heavy debut back in 2020. I know there may be some resencey bias but this disc is going to end up in my top 10 for the year \m/\m/

It seems that this band has been active since 1998, or at least a few members have, but they've only released a couple of demos and a single up to now. This is their debut LP after 27 years, and just like I was saying on that Lethal Shöck post last week, there has been some killer classic-sounding thrashy speed metal this year. To me, and maybe it won't be liked by some, but this album has more of a rocking metal sound, not overly heavy, but highly appealing for my tastes.
