I know that most people who visit The Death Chamber on a regular basis, do so because they're looking for something new or unknown in the realm of death metal. I would also like to think that if you continue to search here, it's because you've already found something that piqued your interest. Well, hopefully, that will continue.
I've been feeling nostalgic lately, and so tonight I stepped into the Wayback Machine and would like to present something a little different. Most will not like this direction, but this is a sampling of the bands, that influenced me back in the day, the 1980's.
I'm posting a lot of stuff that most death metal fans won't like.. but I do. I'm avoiding the more mainstream bands of the era such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, Scorpions, Ozzy, Slayer, Metallica, and the like, even though I liked all of them. I only want to promote the lesser known bands or releases.
Some of these bands have never gotten the recognition that they deserved, and this promotion probably won't help, but I hope that at least a few people enjoy these "ancient treasures", and for everyone else, be patient, your regularly scheduled postings will be back tomorrow.
