When they were still known as Crown Of Thorns, these guys were one of my early favorites in the Swedish death thrash category and they held that spot well into the new millennium. I feel fortunate that I got to see them live on their Crowned in Terror tour back in 2002. I have kind of lost them a bit in recent years but I do like this album and wanted to promote them again.

It had been 6 years since The Crown released anything, and after reuniting with their original singer and then replacing him with Jonas Stålhammar, they released Doomsday King and this is a crushing return. I read somewhere that Johan Lindstrand is coming back for the next release, it will be interesting to see if they can match the quality of this album. Recommended \m/\m/
