In my opinion, this is a very underrated release for 2022, or at least I haven't heard anyone other than myself, a few months back, before it was released talking about this disc and that is a shame. Sublation is 2/3 of the band Fisthammer who released 2 very good albums 8-10 years ago. Abyss Lord is a band who I have only recently become aware of and I want to say that I like this album. I find these tracks fairly engaging considering that they are now 17 years old. Unfortunately, this would be their last release under this name. They changed their name to Day of the Tentacle and released a demo in 2010 and then split up.

I had this disc in my November '21 folder but really haven't listened to it much before now, and I like these tracks but the thing that bugs me is that there are 5 members in this band and they don't have a "real" drummer. I went to this show a few years back and one of the bands was just a guitarist/vocalist and a bassist with programmed drum tracks, I am sorry but in my opinion that was pretty lame. I want to know that there's a human back there beating the shit out of the kit.
