Back in the early/mid 90's when I was making my first real foray into death metal it was bands from Sweden and Denmark whose music and style I connected with and started this part of the journey for me. EOS, ATG, Dark Tranquillity, Crown Of Thorns, Illdisposed, Autumn Leaves, Dominus, and Konkhra were my early favorites. There were 4-5 tracks on Spit Or Swallow that I used to play in a loop on my car stereo back in the day. I can admit that they have been a little hit or miss over the years but with this album and Alpha and the Omega in 2019 their past 2 albums have been quite good.

I came across this album a few months back listened to it, liked it, and purchased a copy on BC thinking it was a 2024 release. I didn't realize this was from 2022 until today when putting the post together and that is pretty sad considering that I had gone to their Metal-Archives page a few different times in the past for information. I feel like this has a strong power metal vibe but they are labeled as heavy/doom metal. Anyway, if you are open to any of those styles then be sure to check these guys out.

This band is new to me and I want to say that I really like this one too. They are labeled as melodic and they are but not in wimpy way they have a "classic" style which still sounds killer to me. They also have a 2021 album that I want to listen to as well.

I swear these young bands from Finland are just crushing it in the past few years. This band is new to me and with this album and their 2023 release, they have created some tasty death metal. I checked their first album from '21 and it is much more old-school sounding thrash metal but these guys are building a nice catalog with their 2 most recent albums being totally killer. Finnish domination!
