Bliss grew out of a band called Rise and featured Dave Bryant on vocals, Michael Stevenson on guitar, Sylvain Bouthilliette on bass, and Colin Burnett on drums. The band played shows with Phleg Camp, Failsafe, and the Doughboys. The songs on this ep are:
Issue #34 of Rear Garde comes in June 1989 and featured interviews with the Pandoras, Bliss, Girlschool, Tupelo Chain Sex, Dayglo Abortions, 13 Engines, Jr Gone Wild, Front 242, and Killing Joke. The issue also features scene reports on Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa and reviews of concerts and releases of the time.
This show was in Tacoma, WA at the Community World Theatre. This was the last American show in the 1987 tour by Sons of Ishmael. Big Black were playing their final show in Seattle the same night somewhere else. Bliss would go on to become Nirvana. Recollectins by Tim Freeborn.
