08 CYMEON X - Wygrać Swoje Życie (Refuse) – originally released as a cassette back in 1992. Polish straight edge hardcore / band founded in October 1991 in Poznań. Active to 15th June 1994 when they played their farewell show in Poznań. Some of the members on the ashes of Cymeon X formed Respect. The band is back together, playing live and writing material.
07 ERVIN BERLIN – Junior’s Got Brain Damage (Total Punk archives) – Pressed in an ultra limited number of 200 back in 1980. Ervin Berlin was the work of Ervin Shuemake (a late 20's acid rocker) and two young punks named Jeff and Tom The Bomb. Ervin had cut his teeth playing guitar on the crazy TERRY BROOKS "STRANGE"- Translucent World LP back in 1973 and spent the remainder of the 70s in various acid, hard, and prog rock bands throughout Central Florida. He met the younger punk duo of Jeff and "The Bomb" at end of 79/ beginning of 80 and decided to take a stab at the punk craze with his two new acquaintances. Soon the trio was at a country and western studio in Winter Haven recording the Ervin Berlin single between sessions for possible Bellamy Brothers tracks. The blending of Ervin's acid rock chops and Jeff and Tom's thuggish punk approach resulted in this KBD space punk stomper. Equal parts Blue Cheer, Debris, Sacramento's Ozzie, and late 70's Hawkind. The 7" was pressed, a few house parties were played, and all parties went separate ways. 42 years later we are kicking off TOTAL PUNK ARCHIVES with a reissue of this lost Orlando classic.
06 L'ODI SOCIAL - Los cara de culo (B-Core) Que pagui Pujol Special 35th Anniversary Edition of one of the most important recordings in the history of Spain’s punk. L'Odi Social were pioneers and greatest exponents of the golden age of 80s Barcelona's hardcore-punk scene, along with bands like Subterranean Kids, Anti/Dogmatikss or GRB.
05 RIOT . 303 - Riot .303 (Supreme Echo) – “1981-1983” LP – band was from Calgary. They had a 7” come out in 1982 called “Crowd Control”. Tim Yohannon likened them to the SUBHUMANS which is true. The band featured ex-Sturgeons rhythm section and future Beyond Possession vocalist.
04 A.K.O.B. - Officer Friendly Blues - a band from Vancouver formed out of the break up of House of Commons. They recorded and released a record within their first month of jamming.
03 RUDIMENTARY PENI - B-Ward - ep (Sealed) – released three of Rudi P’s back catalogue. We are going to feature something from the ep. We did an anarchist corner feature on them.
02 THE NOSTRILS – Kropotkin Said (Supreme Echo) - Undaunted ep emerged as the dawning light of Winnipeg’s second wave of punk rock. Their punk house – the house of Beep – was the centre for comings and goings in the punk scene.
01 DOMINANT PATRI - Experiment “Heroes Glory” (Sealed) - Originally released in 1983. Described to me by Chris as one of the most sought after recordings before this release. DOMINANT PATRI from Luton released just one demo and played less than 15 gigs in their short existence. Formed in 1982, the band were part of an active and political punk scene in Luton based around KARMA SUTRA. They recorded and released a three track demo in June 1983 which remains one of the best kept secrets of the peace punk era. It has the tunes, production and lyrics of any classic and it deserved so much more attention.
