Which was used to generate donations for on the ground humanitarian mutual aid for Palestine. The comps are No Genocide: A Benefit For Mutual Aid In Gaza, No Occupation: Another Benefit For Mutial Aid In Gaza and Yes Liberation: A Benefit For Mutual Aid In Gaza. Awesome idea, awesome cause, awesome comps. Check those out.

Demo Feature
CEASE is in our demo feature. A power violence band out of Hamilton that captures the anger of the city. Combining elements of beatdown with the crushing slows parts and blurring fast parts of power violence. A sonic assault that helps make sense out of the joke titles that make a play with French counting. There isn’t any room for title musings after this audio assault. Power Violence is alive and well in the Hammer. And the audio sample at the end of the last song is like a 2025 version of a call for unity.

Mulroney inspired set (Stephen)
Brian passed away on Leap Day. All the eulogizing is making me think he was a great guy when he wasn’t. I strongly recommend the book “On the Take” by Stevie Cameron. The book documents crime corruption and greed in government during the Mulroney Years. He visited York University and the students pelted him with dried pasta chanting “We’re Tired, We’re Boney, We’re eating macaroni”. He sold us out to the Americans and screwed this country over. Here are some songs to remind us of that side starting out with
RANDOM KILLING - Take our flag (Aardvark)
HYPE - Free Trade (Fringe)
RANDOM KILLING - Politicians (Raw Energy)

Artist Spotlight: ACACIA
Acacia were a band from London, Ontario, Canada. They existed in one form or another from 1996-2011. They were a group of guys from the Southern Ontario hardcore scene with one label released record, their first, called UNTUNE THE SKY, on GOODFELLOW RECORDS. Over time their sound slightly changed but was always heavy. I’ve compiled five songs from three of their records for this set. From UNTUNE THE SKY, BAKER STREET, and OUR OWN. They played my old radio show, HARDCORE STILL LIVES!, on CHRW 94.9 in the late 1990’s.

ACACIA - Bludgeon (Goodfellow)

A set of early Italian hardcore inspired by a collection that came out two years ago of the Wrong Boys.
