Shequalizing-X-Distort's 11th takeover of the airwaves, Girls of Summer 2017 edition of the show. Tonight's instigators were long time stalwarts Zoe and Sarde and first time co-hosts Mariam, Karla, and Christina who has been on before. Sarde started out with ESG and some apologies for the band not being punk enough, but it sounded great. A download of this show is available here.

Mariam is somewhat new to the city but used to be the zine coordinator at MRR and did a punk radio show in Chicago where she is originally from. This is the annual preview for Not Dead Yet fest hosted by festival organizers Greg Bennedetto, Sarde Lynn and Chloe Ringe. Sarde and Chloe are regulars on the show with SHEXD. Together they programmed music that went in chronological order with the fest's line up. There was details about the art exhibition titled "Collective Delusion / Mass Hysteria" opening Wednesday night at Faith/Void. The line up has changed a bit so there were updates to those line ups and a few other unannounced events that you can learn about by listening to the show on the player above or download an MP3 file here. This coming week the fifth annual Not Dead Yet festival takes over Toronto. This year's fest features over 100 bands playing 17 gigs all over the city. We were able to get the promoter Greg Benedetto to come in and program music of bands playing the fest. Chloe Ringe who works the fest also joined us on air.
