Stillborn were a band from Sherbrooke, Quebec. They recorded a cassette called "Faible et Damne” back in 2000. There is a great write up on the Mouth of Madness bandcamp page which describes their early influences as Slayer and Death but that there is no direct influence that can be heard. Just a grinding drums, razor sharp riffs, and dual vocal attack. Some of the members currently play in Disembodiment. We are going to try and play as much of this as possible.

Blue Oil was an all women punk band from Montreal in the post punk vein. They released their own single called “Money” in 1982. They played a lot around the province of Quebec. And they have a full length collection that has just come our collecting a number of recordings. We are going to start off with one of those previously unreleased tracks which addresses urban congestion. This is a track called Sardine City.

Demo Feature 

On September 30th, Sealed records reissued a super rare 3 track demo by the peace punk outfit Dominant Patri. Part of the Luton scene with bands like Karma Sutra, this demo was released in June 1983; Dominant Patri playing less than 15 gigs during their brief existence. Now reissued as a single sided 12”.

Described by MRR as

Washington DC’s DEMAND’s demo from last year delivers some super solid hardcore. Very danceable with some nice hints of melody while still keeping it HC to the very core—the type of hardcore that wouldn’t be out of place on the Triple B roster. This debut release demonstrates some real powerful potential for this band and I’m really stoked to see what’s up next—recommended!
