AHPC X - LotR Warg Rider

My first entry proper, (not counting the entry into Challenge Island) and its not Donnybrook!
I was wondering what and or who, to paint  for my Curtgeld entry. So I went very off pist for me and did some fantasy!!!

This luvvly looking chap was found all alone at the bottom of a drawer. Gawd knows when I bought him and Gawd knows why I bought him? But I thought there must be at least one of my fellow Challengers who needs a Warg Rider added to their Lord of the Rings collection???

I've once again used my very own grass tufts, which I'm very pleased with!

Points mean prizes and I was awarded 10 points for the figure with a further 25 points for the Curtgeld entry sending me shooting up the table to no 40!

AHPC9 Fellowship Bonus Round Gandalf

Can't believe the Challenge is over for another year???
This being the final Bonus Round " Fellowship"

As soon as I read the name Fellowship I knew my entry would have to be from
Lord of the Rings. I've got a box with all sorts of odds and ends from Games Workshop's range.

Gandulf here was still sitting in his red backed blister pack begging to be painted up!

To be honest he was originally bought to be painted up and sold on ebay
many years ago, but I never got around to it.

Another reason for painting up Gandulf was he was quite an easy paint, being all white!!
But the most important was he was the defacto leader of the Fellowship in LotR
and if our defacto leader the SnowLord, Curt himself put on a white wig, he could be Gandulf!!

This entry will be winging its way over the Atlantic soon as my Curtgeld
so a few more points will come my way.

RP No149 LotR - Gandalf & Saruman

What? More Fantasy figures???

Like the previous Lord of the Rings Sauron figure, these have been sitting unloved and forgotten at the very bottom of my leadpile. Not really sure when I bought them, but it must be at least 10 years ago if not more??
Along with some other figures this was my entry into Curt's Challenge on the 7th January.

There's no prizes for guessing that these are the Games Workshop figures for Gandalf the Grey and
Saruman the White.
If I'm gonna be honest, painted up very quickly!
My nose was beginning to bleed!?!?!?

RP No 147 - Sauron, Lord of the Ring

Another entry into Curt's Analogue Painting Challenge, this is my entry into the Villain Bonus round, I'm currently in 6th place in the bonus round and (29th overall, when this was posted), I'm up against some very very stiff competition, Curt's Russian's and Sydney's Mata Hari are both running away with it,  and well deservedly so!!! So if you haven't voted on the Bonus round get on over and do so, you don't have to be in the Challenge to vote!!!

I was a bit stuck on what to paint up for the villain bonus round, so I dug deep down into the layers of my leadpile and found these figures wrapped in a bit of loo roll. To be honest I'd forgotten I even had these figures, and I don't remember buying them??? I must have bought it for my nephew Connor around 10 years ago, when he was collecting the Games Workshop Lord of the Rings figures, which incidentally are up for sale, if anyone's interested??? I'll get some pics soon.

Now as you may know I'm not a real fan of Fantasy figures and I don't actually own any myself, I prefer historical periods, so I was a bit like
"Oh God, how the hell am I gonna paint this bloody thingy???"
There was lots of twitching and itching and quite a bit of swearing, in the end I looked a little like Woogie below!

You ever had a Whitehead on your eyeball Curt??? Hmm?

Elendil and Isildur lying prone.

The Dark Lord Sauron is driven by a consuming desire to dominate all of Middle-earth. From his stronghold in Mordor, Sauron controls many servants and all who fight for Evil, bow to his will. Sauron is the most powerful Hero in The Lord of The Ring Strategy Battle Game, to face him in combat is to face death.

But if you've got a broken sharp pointy thing, you may be in luck??
