Santa Claus, Secret Santa and other Christmas goodies!

It seems that I did rather well this Crimbo!

Santa Clause
Three ECW/Late 1600's figures that'll be added to my Donnybrook collection.
Centre and right are 2 Col Bill's figures, but I'm not sure of the chap on the left?
Thanks Santa!!!

Secret Santa or not so....Thanks DaveD!
Three packs of ECW Musketeers including command
Once again these will certainly find their way on the painting table, to be used as militia/settler
types for early America.

My two eldest daughters were struggling to buy me something. I gave a few helpful hints!!!
I already have the book above on a CD, but a book's a lot better, I'm sure you'll all agree?

Now I wasn't expecting the book, I'd asked for a subscription to the Pike & Shot Society,
so then I could buy some of their books myself, but I got both!
Also copies of this year Arquebusier mag too!
Thank you No 2 daughter Abi

Lastly, the mystery pressie from daughter No1 Emily
Thank you Emily!
11 packs of figures that'll hopefully make it on this years Challenge?
But what are they?
They could be Donnybrook or could be En Guarde?

All for one!

Secret Santa, Santa Claus & Xmas Pressies

Seems this Xmas I've gone all Native!
Above is my Secret Santa pressie, some Warlord Games Woodland Bowman
and Magua with some rather nice foliage to boot!
I do know who ordered these beauties for me as their name was on the receipt inside, so a huge thanks goes to him! (No names mentioned!)

Magua makes a second appearance in my Santa Claus pressie along with him a rather festive
Native, dragging a Xmas tree back to camp!
Thank you very much goes to my Santa Claus, these will be great additions to my up and coming
excursion to North American Donnybrook.

Lastly a great pressie from daughters 1 & 2, Emily and Abi.
They always have trouble buying their poor Dad a pressie for Xmas.
We have more Warlord Native bowmen, Miami Indians and for the third and final
time we have Magua, I may have to  do a bit of conversion work, me thinks??
Also 2 packs of Perry Indians from their AWI range, bowmen and muskets.
Guess what I'll be painting for the Challenge?

Secret Santa & Santa Claus Wish List???

I'm hopefully going all Native for this years Santa Claus and Secret Santa!!
These are just a few idea's for my 2 Santa's in arms!

From North Star in the UK

In fact any 25mm FIW or earlier Indians of any kind would be great??

I did get some of the gorgeous figures as a pressie last year from......

If you don't fancy any of that lot, any 25mm Civilians from the period 1650 to 1750ish ??
or

I always need more of these!!!

But if you've any other ideas for me that'd be great too!

Secret Santa & Santa Claus Goodies

A big thank you to both my Secret Santa and my Santa Claus for the great figures pictured!!

Don't know who sent me the North Star figures above, but they're perfect, thanks!!!

I do have an idea who did or didn't send me the lovely painted Native Americans below, lets just say
he's a  Loony Canadian  Vicar!
The figures are from Bob Murch's Flint & Feather range
and are very very tasty indeed!!!
Its been on my mind recently to expand my Donnybrook adventures over the pond
for Bacon's Rebellion, so these could be the perfect start!!
Thanks Loony Vicar!

Secret Santa & Santa Claus 2015 Ideas??

Like many of you, yesterday I received my victim for my Secret Santa from Catherine and from Chris a few weeks ago, Catherine urged us all to post a few ideas of what we'd like. So here goes.......in no particular order.

or something along those lines........or if you fancy a change of scale some 15mm figures

Essex Miniatures pack - BRO71 European Armies: Musketeers in Long Coat & Wide Brim Hat,

without Apostles: At ease, musket at 45 degrees

Not that I'm particular at all????

Secret Santa and Santa Claus Pressies

Well I did rather well in both the Secret Santa and the Santa Claus.
I received 3 Warfare miniatures General's, one pack included 2 wounded/dead
figures. Also included was the Artillery maintenance lift for barrel changing, which I'm sure will be the focus on a skirmish or 2 in the future.

My Santa Claus pressie was the 3 splendid figures above, they're, according to
a letter in the packaging, 3 FIW/AWI Colonials.
I'm not sure of their make, they could be Old Glory??

Thanks have got to go to both my pressie givers and to the Ian and Cath and Chris
for organizing the whole thing
Cheers!!!
