| Sir John Hanmar's regt |
I've been chatting on TMP, to fellow Nine Years War nut John , otherwise known as "cantbeatdavy", he's been busy painting up regiments for the Battles of the Boyne and Aughrim.
John's been using quite a few of my flags for his figures so I asked him to send me some pics of his troops and I'll post them on my blog for all the world to see! (Well, you anyway??)
John explained that the figures are mostly from (the now US owned I hear) Venexia, supplied by Martin at Vexillia, a few Donnington and a few from Essex minis. The bases are from the excellent Warbases and they're based up for Fields of Glory rules. #
The flags are from myself, Flags of War and he's ordered more flags from Tinytintroops!
John also said he was quite pleased with comments received at Q-Con a few weeks ago, but he's sure he's made a few mistakes painting some of them up. I think they look great and he's made a great job on them all. I love the cannonballs flying out of the artillery, I need to know how that was done!!!!
Nice one John!! and thanks for letting me show your figures!
