Good Morning, World

After seeing Jesse Williams taking a shower in his truly spectacular altogether twice on stage in the gay baseball player play Take Me Out it feels like a cheat for him to go back to PG-rated shower scenes, like the one seen here in his Prime series Hotel Costiera. But then I wouldn't be lying if I admitted that it feels like a cheat, after sitting in the front row of that show, mere feet from him, whenever I see him wearing any clothes whatsoever at any time. If I looked like Jesse Williams looks naked they'd have to arrest me every time I left the house because I'd never wear clothes, not ever. 

Oh well. Anybody watched any of this show? It doesn't really seem like the sort of thing I'd be into so I have not, and this above the waist nonsense seen here only makes me feel more assured in that opinion. Let's just hold out hope for a filmed version of Take Me Out  -- the world is ready, Jesse! Well okay I don't know if the world would ever be ready for what I saw on that stage but speaking for the world we're willing to give it our all! Promise!

I have posted photos from this photoshoot before -- seven of them right at this link -- way back in 2019 at that, but seeing as how I found four more I think you'll excuse me for the flashback post. Shirtless bearded Jesse Williams buzzing himself with clippers??? That gets filed under "never too many" (especially after seeing him in the flesh, all of the flesh, on stage with Take Me Out). But I do actually have a second reason for posting about Jesse -- I reviewed his new movie over this past weekend! And yes as mentioned last week I done SEEN him in the play on the first day of Pride Month, which only seemed fitting -- I'm surprised I haven't said anything about it, but what is there to say that doesn't involve the wolf-whistle from a Tex Avery cartoon? Happy Pride To Me

I'm finally seeing Take Me Out on Broadway tonight! And happy surprise it'd been so long since I bought my ticket I'd forgotten that I am sitting in the front row! Part of me thinks this will be too close -- will I actually just drop immediately dead from this experience? Well if I have to go it's how I want to go so be it. If I don't post tomorrow it either means I'm dead or me and Jesse Williams ran off together. Have a good night and Happy Pride Month, everybody!

So far I've tested negative, fingers crossed, and even better my boyfriend's not doing too bad. Still, posting will probably be light for the next couple of days. One of the highlights of this season Broadway-wise is the re-staging of the gay baseball drama Take Me Out -- a show which let's be honest it somehow won a Tony but I have only ever heard it spoken about by homosexuals giddy about the extended on-stage locker-room shower and changing scenes, which to be clear is the language of my people, so bless -- starring the dreamy Jesse Williams, Patrick J. Adams (from the show Suits), and Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family fame. I shared the trailer for the show ages ago, before the pandemic delayed it -- and today we've got the first official photos of the show, which is now playing in previews, and... it's what we're here for! Richard Greenberg's 2002 play Take Me Out, about a closeted baseball player, has been staged several times over the past two decades even just here in New York, and every time it is all the gays go nuts (heh) because the whole thing's set in a locker-room and just one big jock-fest.

I have never seen the show, I have no idea if it's actually good -- yes I know it won a Tony but I'm not precisely the biggest online purveyor of awards-related enthusiasm in case ya didn't notice -- but I could probably recite the name of every actor that's taken a shower on that stage dammit. Anyway 2020 is bringing the latest version and it stars Jesse Williams and I will finally be finding a way to go this time due to that fact. Obviously. Here's the trailer:

I could look this up but I prefer not knowing, not wiping out a childhood memory for it, but I have no idea if Grey's Anatomy is still on the air or not? I kind of think it is? There was that hot dude Alex Landi that I posted about not too long ago that's playing A Gay on it, so it must be. I mean I hold it no ill will -- it just ain't my cuppa. I can't with shows set at hospitals or precincts or court-rooms.

But somebody must be watching it and enjoying it and it's been a real boon for people of color both in front and behind the camera so by all means, keep on keeping on Grey's Anatomy. But well while I'm sure it's kept Jesse Williams' wallet fat I do wish I got to actually watch him in things, without having to watch Grey's. Dude deserves to bat those eyelashes on big screens. Keeping Up With The Kellan Lutzes

I was just looking through Kellan Lutz's IMDb page (I don't just randomly do such things - he's turning 31 today) and wincing at some of the projects he's got lined up (look at the cast on this sucker, for instance) when I stumbled upon a movie called Money, which actually has an interesting cast... well OK it has a very attractive cast -- that's Kellan with Jesse Williams above (see a good Jesse post right here), and the film also stars BSG's Jamie Bamber.

(And yes it also has Jess Weixler, seen there second from the right, so phenomenal in Teeth.) That's a lot of hot man for one movie right there. Here's what the movie is about:

"Two wealthy businessmen are about to get away with $5 million in ill-gotten money until their plans are revealed by an uninvited house guest. "

Okay I want guesses - which of those two are the "wealthy businessmen" and which one is the "uninvited house guest"?  If the "uninvited house guest" is played by Jesse Williams then the movie suddenly becomes about race, at the very least tangentially, but that's my guess. Then again if this shot of Bamber on the set...

... is of him in character all of my assumptions go out the window. That is not a man to be trusted. Dry-humped upon, for sure - trusted, notsomuch. Anyway this movie seems like the most promising of Kellan's lot, so we wish him and this flick the best. And hey if nothing else Lisa Kudrow is probably out there figuring out a third season of The Comeback so Kellan should probably be buttering her up -- that episode where his character Chris tried to sleep with Valerie was a real highlight of the second season.

Max from Catfish posted this shirtless picture of Nev and I will always take the chance to indulge (admittedly guiltily) in the luxury of Nev's hairy chest. Always.

I don't really know what Grey's Anatomy actor Jesse Williams was getting at by hashtagging this shot of his tattooed back "blackout" - I believe that's his back, I don't know if the tats are real or not, or what they are for... but none of that matters because Jesse hasn't flashed skin in ages and we'll take what we can get, even if it's inexplicable. A pretty back on a pretty man though.

And then there's Jared Padalecki, who was suddenly all over Facebook this weekend. I have no idea what that was all about but he posted this shirtless picture (bad tats are a theme, I guess) so that's something. Is Supernatural still on? How is that possible? Jesse Williams in Cabin in the Woods - He doesn't show much more than Chris Hemsworth does in the same movie and Chris Hemsworth only made runner-up; the difference is his languid striptease in front of somebody he knows is watching (which includes we the audience, natch) is, uh, a stimulating thing to be a witness to. Matthew Wilkas in Gayby -In the time honored tradition of indie comedies about gay men (and the women who love them) Gayby puts a prime hot piece right up front, and Wilkas owns it. Oh and he and gratuity runner-up Mike Doyle generate some real heat, or at least friction...

Daniel Craig in Skyfall - My how the mighty have fallen! Skyfall does a better job exploiting its star than Quantum of Solace did, but it's no Casino Royale. It's just - this is Daniel Craig, you know? We're grading on a curve with somebody who gave us this here. But the shaving scene is hot, and I'm rather particular to the skin-tight work-out outfit he gets all sweaty in...

Thure Lindhart and Zachary Booth in Keep the Lights On - There's such a genuine lived-in heat to these two's oft going's at it, isn't there? Even when the circumstances are just awful they ground it - sex is super important to this film's narrative and these two manage to make it both real and real hot, when called for.

Rodrigo Santoro in Heleno -When Rodrigo's channeling the virile portion of soccer star Heleno's early years, watch out - it's a scorcher. So he would be higher on this list if that were it, but the movie saves the majority of his gratuity for Heleno's later years when he's riddled with syphilis and falling apart, and that's such a boner-killer.
