Good Morning, World

A few weeks back I shared with you a photo of the front view of Noah Centineo shooting his memorable scene in the 2026 film Our Hero Balthazar -- far be it from me to deny us a back view now that it's available. (thx Mac) I still hate the existence of that shirt though. Set that shirt on fire! Bastard shirt! I mean we know you're not shy, Noah. (And that link ain't the half of it.)

ETA the longer I have stared at this photo today (every time I scroll down the site it catches my eye anew) the more I convinced myself that I needed to face Noah off with Phil Dunster's similarly way too small and tight black briefs in Ted Lasso (seen here) -- it's the battle of the pinched butt-cheeks!

Who Wore It Best?

Kind of a surprise to see two hot up-n-comers wearing the same exact outfits on two seperate magazine covers like this! (Shout out to our pal Dennis for catching it.) I posted Connor Storrie's full Vogue shoot just last week right here -- I will share the shoot of Him and Reminders of Him (now there's a double-feature) star Tyriq Withers down below (via). Before that though I just have to add that I just right this minute learned that Tyriq and I share a birthday! I mean he's [redacted] years younger than me but we're both July 15th babies. It's just nice to have somebody besides Linda Ronstadt to celebrate with, is all! (No offense to Linda Ronstadt.) Hit the jump for all the fresh Tyriq...

Noah Jupe Seven Times

I can't say that I expected to see the little kid from the Quiet Place movies rocking not much more than a black thong on the cover of a magazine on the docket but I guess Noah Jupe wanted us all to know he's a big boy now. And so he has, thanks to Perfect magazine, which put him in a variation of the same Tom Ford slut-outfit that Alexander Skarsgard rocked back in December for Dust magazine -- should I do a "Who Wore It Best?" poll? Well we're here, why not...

Anyway I hadn't even put together the two times I saw Hamnet this past Fall that I knew Noah Jupe already from several kid performances -- he'd already in that film aged up into Hot Young Man so perhaps I'd set up a mental block. I even saw him live in person at a Hamnet Q&A and no dots were connected. It wasn't until I saw this photoshoot and realized I needed to google his age and make sure we weren't being led into a mine-field when I was like, "Oh shit right -- he was in those earlier things." Don't let them ever tell you that a black thong won't gain you name recognition, fellas. Hit the jump for the entire shoot...

Who Wore It Best?

Lots of randomness today! Just the way we like it. See, I stumbled upon that highly attractive old photo of Jeff Bridges first and then I did a reverse image search trying to find more from the shoot, and ever-reliable Google offered me up the shot on the right of Kurt Russell instead. Whoopsie! But this mistake was really a surprise gift. One which we will now force you to choose between:

Who Wore It Best?

Several other male movie stars have been photographed wearing Yves Saint Laurent's thigh-high leather boots this year -- including Pedro Pascal and Brad Pitt -- but it only seems right now that Bill Skarsgård has dusted off the pair that brother Alexander wore on the red carpet in Cannes for an official  YSL photoshoot   to face down the Swedish bros. Also Bill does have the advantage of being photoshopped etc since he's in a studio so make sure to do those math calculations in your head before voting!

Who Wore It Best?

I realize that I ended yesterday with a "Which is hotter?" poll between Superman stars David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult so this is getting redundant but whatcha gonna do when Supes himself posts side-by-side photos of himself and Nicky sporting (generally) the same outfit? Yes he did it as a joke but we still have to ask!

And also, and more importantly, this gives me the perfect excuse I was looking for to post the several more photos of Nicky at the premiere yesterday in his leather pants that dropped. Far be it from me to deny a gallery of such splendor. Hit the jump for them....

Who Wore It Best?

I really didn't expect to still be bringing up Warfare two weeks after its theatrical release (especially since I saw Sinners this weekend and holy shit what a movie!) but A24 dropped a new batch of Warfare set photos of the Warfare boys on their Instagram yesterday and I saw the photos right before going to bed last night, which led to me having a truly terrible nightmare:

I've been being woken up an hour or so early every other day lately due to terrible anxiety dreams, but last night's was by far the worst -- Charles Melton and I were trying to find somewhere to have sex but we kept getting interuppted! Why is my subconscious so fucking hateful???

How cruel is that? My brain hates my guts. And I can't say it's wrong to. Anyway since I'm thinking about it now, pained as it is, I figure that photo up top demands a poll:

Who Wore It Best?

(click to embiggen) Not perfectly identical outfits (it's not like they're wearing that mesh shirt everybody's been wearing recently) but close enough -- the fact that it's the 33rd birthday for both Joe Keery and Jack Quiad today is what really sealed the deal. See-thru shirts showing off the chest fur are always welcome after all...

Who Wore It Best?

I'm kind of annoyed that the Instagram account Portiswasp beat me to this punch because it'd popped into my head last week when I saw actor Brandon Sklenar (above right) wearing this stylist-fave mesh shirt for Interview Magazine and realized I'd seen it everywhere lately and had since then been meaning to do this exact poll. Alas I was too slow and you can see the entire collection of menfolk who've rocked the shirt at their link. Me I'll focus in on four of the fellas, all of whom (save Skelnar until now) had already been featured  here at MNPP in this nip-barer of a fashion choice. (Glen Powell here, George MacKay here, and Kit Connor here.)

That said those four aside the correct answer is
probably actor Ishaan Khatter, because goddamn.

Who Wore It Best?

On the left we have an Instagram story from out actor Russell Tovey that dropped a little bit ago, and on the right we have an Instagram story that dropped from out actor Luke Evans also a little bit ago. If these two combined their Thirst-day bulge powers they could devour the world! Anyway we all want to be those dogs right now, but which one would you rather be...

Who Wore It Best?

Crowded field for birthdays of perennial beefcake today -- we already wished Michael Fassbender a happy one this morning but we had other options, given both Chris Meloni and Pedro Pascal slid out their mommas on an April 2nd (the former in 1961 and the latter in 1975). Finding a commonality between these two proved difficult -- I was hoping I'd find pictures of Pedro in a half-shirt or a skirt to go up against photos of Meloni's memorable turns in both of those but they weren't to be. But both have been photographed multiple times wearing white tank-tops -- and as an aside I do understand why we can't use the term "wifebeater" any more for obvious reasons but I do miss its brevity -- so we'll go with that butch-bitch staple. (Butch Bitch is okay, right? Whatever.) Have at it!

Who Wore It Best?

Timothée Chalamet is on the cover of Rolling Stone this month as he gears up to push his Bob Dylan bio-pic A Complete Unknown (out at Christmas) -- there are a couple of nice photos, including the two posted here, so click over if you want them

(Plus an interview which I haven't read yet so I cannot say.) But then there's also an inexplicable photo of Timmy doing the same pose that the teen daughter Holly in Troll 2 does in the middle of her big infamously much-mocked dance scene in that movie and so obviously I had to ask y'all...

Who Wore It Best?

I am ashamed to admit I didn't think of this myself first, nor in a timely fashion (i.e. when The Iron Claw came out last year), so go thank this person on Twitter for realizing that Zac Efron wears the same yellow mesh tank top in that movie that Lena Dunham wore in a memorable scene on Girls. Anyway I'm pretty sure I have a clue which way this poll will go (pretty sure!) but how could I not ask:

Good Morning, World

I can't believe it's taken me this long to post this shot of Josh O'Connor getting the up-shorts treatment in Luca Guadagnino's tennis smash Challengers -- the second I saw it in the movie (read my review here) I flashed right back to this perfectly similar shot...

,.. of Timmy in Call Me By Your Name, which was also filmed by genius cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom. And whether this is a kink of Luca's or one of Sayombhu's I don't care; I just hope they keep working together and making the movie magic happen.

Who Wore It Best?

When Orville Peck's ultra-slutty (and ultra-appreciated) Paper Magazine photoshoot broke the other week I considered doing a "Who wore it best? poll with the above photo and its obvious inspiration, which is this classic gay smut photograph taken by classic gay smut photographer Bruce of Los Angeles:

(And PS I very much recommend the big book of Bruce's photography, by the way. Gay heaven.) But I got side-tracked by Tribeca and so that didn't happen. But then today I realized there was an even better poll to be had thanks to Orville's photoshoot, and so here we are...

Who Wore It Best?

No sooner did I write my post about Josh O'Connor joining the third Knives Out movie than did Andrew Scott also join the cast -- if ever there was news to force me to post twice about the same damned unmade movie in one day this is it. Andrew Scott and Daniel Craig have faced off before -- Scott was in the 007 movie Spectre...

... not that I remember anything about Spectre or who he played in Spectre or what happened in Spectre, but I know he was in it. I think he was a bad guy? Anyway I'm sure Daniel Craig has leverage when it comes to casting these movies now so I'm glad to see he's up for reuniting with Andrew! And yes obviously now I am mentally updating my post about Josh O'Connor being Benoit's love interest to this being a love triangle. Let's make it the gayest Knives Out movie ever! Come on, Rian! In summation, I must of course now ask:

Who Wore It Best?

I contemplated needing to myself own one of the Loewe "I Told Ya" t-shirts that play a big role in Luca Guadagnino's tennis film Challengers... and then I saw that they retail for $300 and I decided no, notsomuch. I love the movie but it's a fucking t-shirt and I am too poor and too smart for that nonsense. That said actor and pretty young thing Manu Rios just posted a photo of himself wearing it (I doubt he had to pay for it) and I remembered that Loewe was ripping off a tee that noted perfect piece of ass John F. Kennedy Jr. wore back in the 90s and voila, a poll arose:

Who Wore It Best?

Apparently this outfit has something to do with Beyoncé's clothing brand, but seeing as how I could give a flying fuck about Beyoncé or her clothing brand (gay gasp) I am instead choosing to focus on the "Greta Gerwig's Barbie" connection -- perennial hot-piece Mark Ronson did a song for the soundtrack and Simu Liu is playing one of the many Kens in the movie, which premiered in los Angeles yesterday to generally, from what I saw, positive notices. And they both made appearances in this outfit, so I must (as predicted in my Twitter thread on the subject) now ask...

Who Wore It Best?

Noted besties Charlie Hunnam and Garrett Hedlund are for some reason rocking the exact same rock-star style these days -- shoulder-length hair and beards -- and there's something very "Brad Pitt with a new girlfriend" about it. Like they're morphing into each other. I want to pretend that this is their way of telling us that they're more than "noted besties" but such things I'll leave, ahem, subtly implied. For now let's just make them compete with each other:
