The Last Words for Men Who Talk to Ghosts!

We have some last words to deliver today as we put a wrap on our macabre, month long, Double Fear-ture fest here at THOIA, with two more ghastly ghost-a-ramas to leave you equally gasping as you're eerily giggling with gruesome glee. Very strange tales indeed, and full of that awful wedded bliss we'll be seeing much more of in our annual vicious Valentine month freak-out coming up shortly. No Place to Hide Under the Earth!

Werewolf Wednesday is extra weird this week! And it's so weird in fact, that today's second story in our ongoing Double Feature series this month isn't even about werewolves! And you'll have to dig deeply into it to see just how exactly weird it really is, as Chuck Winter assumes nobody has ever seen a mole before! But worry not, cuz it's still a wild one, via the March 1954 issue of Journey into Unknown Worlds #25! But first up, Ed Robbins gives his wack-a-doodle wolfman the hideous head of a bat --yep, it's a terror tale that's just as beastly bonkers as it is totally batty! The Torture Master!

The November 1953 issue of Men's Adventures #24 contains this grueling Russ Heath illustrated concentration camp terror tale about nazi experiment atrocities and torture, proving once again that historical based facts can most certainly be much more horrific than fiction.

Dance of Death

You know you've found the perfect summertime screamer when the off-register coloring actually adds a bit to the visuals for a minor plot point moment, haha. Top notch work from Russ Heath of course, and despite the rather predictable conclusion you'll see flapping its way towards you from page 3, this tale also provides a few moments of very lovely good girl art, dance action, and atmosphere. From the September 1951 issue of Suspense #10, --and get a load of that weirdly masterful Joe Maneely cover! But FYI: I also included a creepy Carl Burgos cover, courtesy of the March 1953 issue of Adventure into Weird Worlds #16 at the very end of this post too because it seems to fit that final story panel pretty nicely-- now don't peek until you've read it to the end though!
