If our previous post HERE left you feeling a little repossessed, then maybe it's time to get re-repossessed! And while I'm not exactly sure if what I just said actually makes any sense, I do know this terrifically twisty tale of rotten romance, via the May 1975 issue of Ghostly Haunts #44, is absolutely loads of freak-deaky fun. Winnie the wanton Witch re-materializes once again to host the chillin' chain of horrific events, and ohhh my, how spooky is that superb Sanho Kim cover painting?! Plus: Blondes! Brunettes! A redhead! It's funny! It's frightening, --and every bit exciting! Did I mention that a distant cousin of The Creech even swims by for a creepy cameo? Damn, this crazy story really does have everything..

Shock Ending / The Exorcism

Here's a joltin', revoltin' idea-- let's kickstart the new month of posts with a shock ending! And not just any shock ending-- but a SHOCK ROCK ending, to boot! If Kiss, Alice Cooper, and King Diamond were dead, they'd be rollin' over in their graves right now! And if that opening Su Gumen number ain't electrifyin' enough for ya, let's end it all once and for all with a humorous Wayne Howard exorcism encore! Music of the Demons

We're still reeling from the Witches' Night aftershocks here at THOIA, and oh my, what a wonderfully wicked evening we had! Wine, women, dance, and song... witch reminds me, (I believe her name was Gillian) of one particularly popular concerto piece heard playing over and over throughout the late night party festivities. It really sent our lovin' coven into a wild frenzy! It was so popular amongst our Circle of 13, in fact, that there's even a magical story all about it, via the September 1953 issue of Beware #5. So go on, CRANK IT!

The Possessor

I think we'll stick with Charlton for a few more posts, and that means more sinister Sanho Kim creepiness as well! This is a neat tale of supernatural evil in a haunted house, and Kim does another great job with the atmospheric, clifftop setting, and those spooky characters of his possessing uniquely cramped, intense faces. From the Jan. '73 issue of The Many Ghosts of Doctor Graves #46... Charlton liked this story so much they reprinted it a few more times, even into the 80's.

Possessed

Very appreciative to the commenter from earlier this week who supplied an answer regarding another possible Ouija board themed comic story. And like our previous post, this one is also from the same weird Western series, the October 1963 issue of Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery #5 to be exact. It's an eerie Peppe / Toth team-up with very nice art, though with a title like "Possessed" it's kind of a shame it's not just a wee bit more scary. Still, it's a fun look at adult party games gone wrong, or is it really a blistering expose about sexual 60's pent-up housewife frustrations? Hmmm...

The Box of Doom!

Let's finish out December 2022 with some more Bill Everett. And it's been quite a while since we've seen vivacious Venus va-va-va-voom her way across a half dozen precode pages of petrifyin' fun, so let's fix that pronto! This one's packed with all the scary stuff that makes Everett so effortlessly unequalled, I mean, there's a reason he's my absolute all time favorite artist ever-- just try to find a less-than-stellar panel in this one. It can't be done! He also created what is easily one of the most bone chilling precode horror covers ever--this, the classic April 1952 cover of Venus #19.
