Werewolf Wednesday is extra weird this week! And it's so weird in fact, that today's second story in our ongoing Double Feature series this month isn't even about werewolves! And you'll have to dig deeply into it to see just how exactly weird it really is, as Chuck Winter assumes nobody has ever seen a mole before! But worry not, cuz it's still a wild one, via the March 1954 issue of Journey into Unknown Worlds #25! But first up, Ed Robbins gives his wack-a-doodle wolfman the hideous head of a bat --yep, it's a terror tale that's just as beastly bonkers as it is totally batty! The weekend is still a few days away, but who's got big plans coming up? I guess in our current age of social distancing and hot spot closures it's tough to find some of that much needed entertainment and excitement. Just be sure you have all of your P's & Q's in order before stepping out, because you never know what frightening frame of mind people are actually in these days. Too Horrible / How Beautiful?

The May 1953 issue of Adventures into Weird Worlds #18 utilized the tricky old "Eye of the Beholder" / covering of the face for added drama routine most famously seen in the classic Twilight Zone episode, in not one, but two stories in this issue. (FYI: The TZ episode didn't actually air until 1962.) And as creepily clever as Atlas is, they managed to make each tale in today's Double Header uniquely fun, and also frighteningly funny at the same time. And dig that spooky Bill Everett cover too!

Getting back to the spellbinding spookery of 50's Atlas era horror with a deadly double header as we draw ever nearer to Halloween! Our first tale is from the June 1954 issue of Spellbound #23, it's a Chuck Winter classic with some really great moments-- followed by an eerie Bill Walton weirdie, from the April 1954 issue of Spellbound #21.
