After the awesomeness of our recent Serpent Queen and Sea of the Dead posts, you would think the June 1952 issue of Unknown Worlds #1 was a complete winner, right? Well, two out of three ain't bad, as THOIA harkens to a past themed event like "Stupidest Killers Weekends" with this, a tale so ludicrously plotted (10 pages for this?!), you might just think it's a winner after all. Yep-- another full issue up in ya!

"The Dead Rise"
Another grisly tale from the Jan '52 issue of Dark Mysteries #4. Just gaze upon that splash... yep, this one isn't going to win any great art awards, but also know it most certainly will not win any great awards for writing either. In fact, this story is so wanky-wonky in every aspect that you probably can't resist loving it anyway for all the wrong reasons. "The Dead Rise" also contains the stupidest female character in the history of precode horror... like, whoa.

Monsters for Rent
Sam and Lorna Cox, aka: "The Dipshits of Disaster." They could surely learn a thing or two about gimmicks from The King, William Castle... unfortunantly for them though it's now much too late.

The Frozen Bride
From the October 1952 issue of Strange Fantasy #2, it's a particularly foul, freezer burnt treat that definitely won't warm the cockles of anyone's heart (or pants), and will undoubtably leave many of you in hysterics, or pondering poorly realized revenge choices. Soooo stupid...

Two Ways to Die!
Two numbskulls try to bump off their innocent old aunt for her money, only she's not so innocent--- not even a little! I love stories like this, reminds me of something William Castle would have had fun filming, so let's do another casting call: David Niven as Leslie, Frank Cady as James, and Ellen Corby as Aunt Lenore.

The Well of Fear!
Some of you might remember our “Stupidest Killers Weekend” back in July. And today we kick off with a similar theme, but suddenly I’ve just decided to call this one a “Damned Duos Weekend” instead. Lordy lordy, it’s so much side splittin’ fun to see two complete idiots get their just rewards in manners such as these... especially when the story comes from a top notch collaborative team like Shuster [Bill Molno under a pseudonym -- Nequram] and Osrin.

Death from the Depths
Welcome to our 4th and final tale from the March 1954 issue of Adventures into the Unknown #53. It’s a fun, action packed tale of terror, chocked full of idiotic researchers doing idiotic things, all in the name of sheer idiocy.
Hope you enjoyed this full issue presentation… if you want to see more "TrueVisision 3D" classics from ACG in the future just drop me a line and let me know.

Larry Blamire, writer-director behind the cult favorite THE LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA gets serious with this creepy collection of western horror stories. Atmospheric, suspenseful, grotesque and occasionally amusing, these thirteen trips to the unknown Old West range from pulp mystery-thriller to ghost story to sci-fi horror, all set around a mysterious mountain range where folks just seem to have trouble settling.
