If our last post didn't deliver enough chopped body parts for ya (well, real ones anyway), then today's cannibalistic cadaver corpse feast from the May 1953 issue of Weird Terror #5 should certainly whet your atrocious appetites! This one's pretty gruesome, I mean, "mortician's gone wild" should be a THOIA theme someday-- and also features a truly horrific hammer to the face panel that'll likely loosen more than just a few teeth, IYKWIM! And since two cadavers are always better than one, I've added a Skywald bonus from the October 1974 issue of Psycho #21 since its been a while for you text tale lovers. Plus, a funny Mel Millar gag! Forget from where though. And speaking of, a really nightmarish, sexy Skywald screamer is up next-- stay tombed!

Witch Girl!
Here's a cool Don Heck story about juicy jealousy and bloodthirsty black magic, from the March 1954 issue of Weird Terror #10. Nicely scripted, and good Heck art that only occasionally gets undermined by the less than perfect printing (I did fix some of the crazier off-register panels, though!) Some of you might remember this tale in our Chilling Archives Horror by Heck hardcover collection from 2015.

The Invisible Curse
Let's wrap up this month with a wild tale of witchcraft gone terrible wrong, from the Sept. '52 issue of Weird Terror #1. Todays entry takes off from the start like a possessed race horse and seriously just gets more maniacally delirious with each page. A dynamite Don Perlin and Abe Simon story definitely worthy of the multiple Eerie Pub reprint / re-makes in the 70's-- it even found its way down under into the Australian Gredown, Satan's Corpse, one-shot in 1981.

Night Air
Sometimes I think I've already posted a story here at THOIA, like this creature feature from the March 1953 issue of Weird Terror #4, when in fact I haven't, --though we did feature it in the February 2016 issue of Haunted Horror #21. And it's believed that Rudy Palais may have done the pencils here, but that is clearly not his distinctive sweaty ink style... does anyone out there recognize the possible artist?

HAUNTED HORROR #30 / Den of Horror
It's hard to believe that HAUNTED HORROR has reached the big #30, and what better way to celebrate than with a hellish new issue just about a week before Halloween to get everyone in the morbid mood! Friend and HH cohort, Tommy "El Diablo" Stanziola stepped up to guest host (the third in our temporary series) and with the hideous help of Mr. Karswell, assembled a truly outstanding issue full of monsters, murder, and top tier maniacal mayhem! Take this brutal ' n bloody Rudy Palais (??) obscurity from the January 1953 issue of Weird Terror #3 for example-- it's sure to leave you screaming and writhing for more!
