Guess I Should Catch Up With Surface

I couldn't find any information whatsoever on that photo of Oliver Jackson-Cohen fully mounting Phil Dunster, but since they're both on the second season of the Apple+ series Surface I'm assuming it has to do with that? I watched the first season of the show it feels like ages ago (and posted about it many times) and yet I keep forgetting the second season dropped -- this image however has smacked that forgetfulness right off my face. Dunster wasn't on the first season but he does have a previous work connection to Olly -- they didn't share scenes but they were both in the 2017 miniseries Man in an Orange Shirt, and they both played gay in it! Oliver was partnered with James McArdle in the WWII-era portion of it, while Dunster got railed by Julian Morris in one of the greatest scenes ever committed to celluloid. That was pre-Ted-Lasso though so at that time I was paying more attention to my boy Julian -- no more though! Now I have room for them both in my.... heart. Anyway I doubt Surface will reach those heights, but it gave us that picture up top and for that we are forever thankful.

Until these photos the most interesting thing about actor Finn Jones to me was that he was really good, comfortable friends with Julian Morris and Julian's husband Landon Ross (see these photos) -- I also have a vague memory of him saying some annoying things politically (like far left annoying -- not far right, which would be truly unforgivable) which had turned me off at some point? 

Anyway abs like this will grab a lot of attention and right a lot of wrongs, is my point. I have no idea what he's doing these days career-wise, since Iron Fist was kind of a flop and it doesn't seem like Marvel will be rebooting it like they are Charlie Cox's perfect Daredevil, but whatever it is he's doing these gray sweatpants need to be his costume for it:

I think I tried to watch one episode of Ted Lasso and wasn't into it, but I know I'm far from the norm on that one -- what a shock! Me bucking the mainstream! I'm such a maverick, y'all. So esoteric and shit. I only drink vintage Tab I buy off eBay -- that's how fucking cool I am. Aaaanyway...

These Two Can Destroy Me Any Time

Now here's an on-screen duo for the ages -- Michael B. Jordan and Yahya Abdul-Mateen are set to co-star in a movie called I Helped Destroy People for Amazon that will be written by Ben Watkins, who previously wrote the series titled Hand of God (which I only know of because Julian Morris was in it half naked one time). IHDP is based on a New York Times article telling the true story of an FBI agent who infiltrated New York's Muslim communities after 9/11 and who became so angry at the Bureau's despicable behavior that he began leaking confidential documents to the press. I am not sure who's playing who in this, THR doesn't say, but I can tell you one thing right now -- the sexiness will be distracting from the very serious topics at hand, and I will probably make more inappropriate puns like this post's title in the future. Sorry in advance!

Which is Hotter?

This morning I wished the Hemsworth brother they call Liam a happy birthday, but then not long after I realized that January 13th is actually chockablock with birthday hunkery, as it also marks the blessed births of Michael Peña, Orlando Bloom, Now Apocalypse fur-monster Beau Mirchoff, and the now-official-gay Julian Morris...

Congratulations to long time MNPP fave Julian Morris, who (I won't say finally, I won't say finally) came out this morning on Instagram by acknowledging his 18th anniversary with Landon Ross, a Los Angeles based artist who you might recognize as, well, Julian Morris' constant companion. Yes we all already had this figured out if you were paying them even the slightest bit of attention, but congratulations to them on 18 years -- that shit is a lot, I speak from experience! -- and also to Julian for releasing the exhausting weight of not being able to openly acknowledge that. It's so fucking exhausting! I speak from many years of experience on that as well, at least as far as a good solid half of my family went. Anyway I have swooned over Julian since the very first time I saw him, as a demon twink in the oh so classic film called Donkey Punch...

... meaning I've been riding this roller-coaster for 13 years myself, and I'm personally gratified that we got another one! Him and Landon might be our hottest openly gay  celebrity couple now? My type-wise, anyway. So more than anything what I am saying is that we deserve this! In all seriousness big congrats to the couple -- I downloaded Julain's announcement photos so we could look at them in a larger format if we so desire after the jump...

Haven't checked in on actor Julian Morris and his roommate Landon Ross in awhile, so here are a couple of social media photos of note of them on vacation with some friends that have been making the rounds recently. I'd say these shots are the clearest indication that Julian and Landon are more than just friends, at least since this happened. But what business of it is mine -- Julian hasn't acted in anything since before the pandemic, they're just off living their best lives, and I wish them well. (And yes part of me wishing them and us all well includes the addendum that we should be wearing masks and probably not traveling in the middle of a pandemic, natch.)

The show called Ted Lasso on Apple+ that stars a boisterously moustached Jason Sudeikis is yet another show of the many many shows that have slipped between the cracks for me, so we have a reader to thank for alerting me to this scene from the show's fifth episode, which spends some morning time with the actor Phil Dunster in his itty bitty black briefs. Speaking of slipping through the cracks, am I right?

I am right. Do any of you watch the show? I have heard good things but they are things I hadn't paid much attention to, I will admit -- I honestly didn't even know it was a show about soccer players until this morning, as I made these gifs and discovered that there are also lots of locker-room scenes on the show as well? Should I be watching Ted Lasso? I should, shouldn't I?

Now as for Phil Dunster I didn't recognize his name at first blush but soon discovered he has been mentioned here on MNPP before -- he's the random dude that Julian Morris fucks... excuse me, has enthusiastic homosexual intercourse with... in that half of the miniseries Man in an Orange Shirt, covered thoroughly and I do mean thoroughly right here. And that scene just managed to get hotter, now that we're more familiar with Mr. Dunster. Speaking of... let's all get more familiar with Mr. Dunster after the jump...

Thanks to Chris Royal on Instagram (and to "yah" on Twitter for directing me to this) for sharing this photo of himself sharing a sofa with the actor Julian Morris and Julian Morris' uhh live-in good friend Landon Ross at Burning Man last year -- I feel like zooming in here is a necessity?

I have never in my life wanted to be within one thousand miles of Burning Man and yet I am sitting here looking at this photo and I am thinking to myself that maybe everything I have ever thought I have known about myself has been a mistake? An utter failure of imagination? I want to go to THIS Burning Man.

(click to embiggen) Basically every day a new magazine called Yummy Zine has been dropping a new shot of the actor -- six photos in total, and not a single stitch of clothes to be seen. I don't know what we did to deserve such a week... well yes I do, we have suffered through three years of nightmare living, nevermind. We deserved this. I started the day today with two photos from Julian's new and very naked photo-shoot, and now given the opportunity it looks as if I shall end the day with a just-released third photo (via, thx Ryan). It's about time, too -- besides some Hot Insta Action the last proper one of these was a year ago in April.
