Two very important photos from the set of Edgar Wright's The Running Man were dropped online (via) -- having seen the film last evening let me just say that the towel sequence highlighted in the film's trailers are highlighted for good reason. Highlight reel (not to mention spank bank) material! Anyway if you haven't given me your opinion on yesterday's THR throuple poll click here and do that! (And click the images to embiggen a bunch!)

Good Morning, World
I was going to post this scorching new photo-shoot of my man Karl Glusman this morning whether I was here at my desk or not -- in case you hadn't noticed I've been off most of this week doing my annual NYFF thing. But I am actually here at my desk for most of today, huzzah, so anticipate some posting! Including a post of these nearly twenty photos of Karl flashing abs like abs are the special of the week, after the jump...

Good Morning, World
Hey if you're looking for a trainer, Karl Glusman, look no further.
I don't know much about working out
or nutrition but I'll sure test your endurance!

Good Morning, Labor Day
No, I'm not here. It's a holiday. But I figured if Karl Glusman could go to all the trouble of lifting his tank top and sending us all this slutty selfie on his Instagram, I could go to the trouble this morning of sharing it and wishing y'all a happy holiday. So happy holiday! May your day be as sharp as the cut of Karl's abs. Let's meet back here tomorrow.

Karl Glusman Six Times
The action-comedy Eenie Meanie starring Karl Glusman as the ass-pain that Samara Weaving just can't say no to (I get it, girl) is out on Hulu on Friday -- I shared the trailer right here. And so lucky us as the film's set to premiere we get a photoshoot of Karl handsome-ing it up in YSL (via) -- thank you, world. And having already seen Eenie Meanie myself let me add, as an aside, that should you want to see Karl in considerably fewer clothes... well you should hit up Hulu on Friday. Until then make due with more of these after the jump...

Race With the Glusman
Some movies just feel like they were made very specifically for me first. Like it'll be nice if everybody else likes them but first and foremost somebody was like, "Let's give Jason Adams a nice day. He's earned it." Needless to say, narcissist that I am, I approve of these rare but ocassional efforts to up my mood. I need 'em. And weirdly many of them star Karl Glusman, who I'm pretty sure I might just be the world's biggest, or at least most vocal, fan of. I have no idea if anybody else cares about him but one look through our archives on the Please Baby Please and Neon Demon star -- we have documented every goddamned moment since he caught first our eye in Gaspar Noé's 3D sex-and-misery-capade Love... and hey, I just realized that movie came out 10 years ago! And weirdly, as if continuing the bizarre theme of Karl Glusman being made for me that I'm insisting on here, Love was released in most places (not the U.S.) on July 15th, aka my birthday. I'm telling you. Kismet.
Anyway that all means that I've posted about Karls' upcoming action-comedy Eenie Meanie several times already -- it's from a dude who worked on some John Wick stuff and it also stars Samara Weaving, aka one of my favorite actresses working today -- she just keeps being awesome in everything, even nonsense like the last Scream movie and Babylon. Always on poiunt, that one! And so many of the images released from this movie have been of Karl half-naked, which helps as well. Well now that we've got a trailer (thanks Mac) we know why -- he spends a chunk of the movie half-naked! Hashtag blessed et cetera. Watch:
Eeenie Meanie is going straight to Hulu on August 22nd, which is a little bit annoying -- I'd like to see this on a big screen! But whatever gets it in my eyes the fastest is good. And I think the trailer looks like a whole lot of fun! But with Karl I'm probably just brainwashed at this point. Okay brainwashed is generous. I think the word I'm looking for is "dickmatized." Whatever! If the rubber fits. Ahem. Hit the jump for a couple more Karl gifs...

Pics of the Day
In March of last year I told y'all that Karl Glusman had been cast opposite Samara Weaving in a heist thriller called Eeenie Meanie -- then a few weeks later I shared a photo of Karl topless on the set that made me even more excited. Well now we have our first official looks at the movie and...
... they are still speaking my language! (via) Hopefully this is his costume for a majority of the movie. Anyway the news is also saying that this movie is going right to Hulu on August 22nd -- hopefully we get a trailer soon so we can really gauge what we're working with. Not that I'm not already sold. Hit the jump for more Karl...

Karl Glusman is Obsessed With Us
Now that's how you make a movie poster -- wham bam shirtless Karl Glusman thank you ma'am. Anyway it took me a minute to find my old post on this movie because it's changed its title -- when it was announced in October of 2023 it was called The Bird and the Bee and I think we can all agree that Pretty Thing is a far far far better name so good work! Pretty Thing is a throwback erotic thriller about an older woman (Alicia Silverstone) having a fling with a younger man who becomes obsessed -- so basically a gender-flipped The Crush, which of course once starred one Silverstone. I would love for that very 80s / 90s genre to have a comeback so I'm hoping this is good -- at the very least it's from King Cobra director and homosexual Justin Kelly so I think Karl will be properly ogled. (The early pictures from the movie, which I shared in that 2023 post, are all of Karl's ripped physique. Kindred spirits!) Anyway Indiewire (who dropped the poster) also shared the info that the movie's getting the "select theaters and same day VOD" treatment come July 4th -- may Karl find independence from his underpants! -- so we've only got a few weeks til we know!

Pic of the Day
Ugh I'm annoyed -- just saw that Pillion, the movie I first told you about EXACTLY ONE YEAR AGO TODAY (weird) that stars Alexander Skarsgard as a queer biker who keeps Harry Melling (so great in Please Baby Please, working with weirdly similar themes) as a happily submissive sex toy, is playing at Cannes later this month. Boo! Boo I says. Anyway that's the first image seen above (click to embiggen) -- I'm glad they're letting them both be hot. You never know. And yes I know Harry Melling isn't to everybody's taste, but I found his erotic journey toward Karl Glusman's chaps in PBP extremely stimulating, so I've myself a crush I don't see going anywhere soon. Especially if he keeps making movies like this...

Good Morning, Gratuitous Garrett Wareing
All it usually takes is an actor getting one sizzling photoshoot that grabs my eye -- the greatest example being Chris Evans' legendary shoot for Flaunt magazine of course -- and even if you've never made an impression on me with the whole "acting" thing I'll still file your name away for further reference. But with Garrett Wareing here, who's been acting since he was 12 (all of 12 years ago), he's had several shoots over the past few years that should've caught my eye but... didn't. Until this week that is, when...
... the latest one for Vulcan magazine appeared. And consider my eye caught. But after doing some digging I found several earlier photoshoots that should've done the trick (his Instagram was especially helpful in this regard) so now we'll play catch-up and post them all. Acting-wise the only thing I've seen Mr. Wareing in appears to be the 2023 film God is a Bullet where he was opposite Nicolaj Koster-Waldau and Karl Glusman, but there was a lot going on in that movie (obviously given those two names I just named) so I didn't notice him. Sorry, Garrett! That said...
... he is in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's infamous short story The Long Walk that Constantine director Francis Lawrence has directed, and which also stars Cooper Hoffman, Charlie Plummer, David Jonsson, Judy Greer, and Mark Hammil, so I assume 2025 will be the year this beautiful boy leaves a mark. I can say that assuredly because he already has, looking through these photos! (God I love furry blonds.) So hit the jump and brand him on your brains too...

You Can Run But You Can't Hide From Colman
There are moments -- not often, but more than once -- where I wonder if I might Jekyll out sometimes and sneak off under the guise of a different personality to be a casting director. Some movies just have such Me Casts that I can't imagine anyone else being responsible. Maybe I have a twin I was seperated from at birth and we're communicating telepathically? Anyway that's where I am at today with the news that Colman Domingo has now joined the cast of Edgar Wright's remake of The Running Man -- Colman being perfectly, exquisitely, cast as the evil game show host character that Richard Dawson played in Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1987 (classic as far as I'm concerned) version of the movie. How great is that casting though? Colman has got Game Show Voice and Showman Swag for dayssssss. Anyway he's joining a cast that already includes Glen Powell, Katy O'Brian (our queen from Love Lies Bleeding), Lee Pace, Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, William H. Macy, and my beloved weirdo Karl Glusman. Put this movie down my mouth please!

Keep Running Up That Pace
Enough things coming up Lee Pace (what a phrase) these past couple of days that a Lee Pace post was demanded of me! Firstly his 2006 film The Fall from the director Tarsem has gotten a re-release in theaters this weekend which has been wonderful news for people like me who have loved that movie since day one and the rest of you who were dummies who didn't see it but now have the chance to. It's also on Mubi but I recommend going to the theater and taking this beauty in on the big screen -- click here for wheres and whens of that -- as I did last night! And it ruled. I hadn't seen the film in quite some time but it rocked my world all over again. On that same note there is a terrific chat with Pace over at The Playlist today reflecting on making the movie so read that! And now we begin our countdown until Mubi drops the 4K disc of the film -- really hoping it lands before the holidays.
But wait! This is not all of the Lee Pace news fit to print! Yesterday it was announced that he's joining the cast of The Running Man re-do from director Edgar Wright! I just posted about this movie earlier this week because it already gained a hot ass cast with Glen Powell and Karl Glusman and Josh Brolin set to star in it -- now with Lee it's a veritable smorgasborg of beefcake set to slip into those skintight bodysuits. Good work, Edgar Wright -- now just be gayer than usual about it, please. All of that said hey look it's a photoshoot (via) of Lee I've never posted! Let's do that! Hit the jump for that...

Run This Way, Man
I am not sure that the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic The Running Man needs a remake -- and I am being unironically serious, as I genuinely love that movie -- but if it is going to happen I suppose having Edgar Wright direct it and having Glen Powell and our boy Karl Glusman star in it isn't so bad a way to go. The latter was announced today via Deadline which reminded me that I somehow don't believe I have posted about this project before even though it's been ticking some boxes all along -- I mean also in the cast is Love Lies Bleeding queen Katy O'Brien! Anyway I guess I can see how an update on the movie would work and Wright know how to shoot kinetic nonsense like a pro -- plus Glen Powell might be a perfect leading man for him, and for this prokect specifically, since he's as funny as he is studly. Wright will surely go at this with a lighter touch than the doom-minded original did. All I know is they better put Glen and Karl in those same kind of skin-tight jumpsuits that Arnold wore in the original dammit. Or we rebel!

The Karl Chronicles
Another day gone poof like the wind -- they really should have called that movie that, by the way. Gone Poof Like the Wind. It would have been an even bigger hit, I bet. What the fuck did David O. Selznick know about making movies anyway? Nothing, I tells ya. What a dum-dum. People would've remembered and loved Gone Poof Like the Wind -- not some nothingburger starring Clark Nobody. Uhh anyway as all of that underlines I lost my brain somewhere this afternoon while writing and revising a review that will come to you sometime in the next couple of days -- when it does I will come back and share it, but other than that this is it until Tuesday. because of the holiday. If you're not in the U.S., we have a holiday weekend ahead, see. If I'd have had my way it would be Gone Poof Like the Wind Weekend, but ALAS. Nothing ever works out the way it should. Bye. Oh and yes PS there's some Karl Glusman being fucking sexy above (via) because I love you or whatever. Enjoy. And bye again!

Pic of the Day
Back in March I told you about Eenie Meanie, a new heist thriller that will star MNPP faves Karl Glusman and Samara Weaving -- well the film's filming and Karl was kind enough to share this set photo taken by Weaving over the weekend. Looks like the heist might not go so smashingly for ol' Karl! Or rather it goes very smashingly -- smashingly straight into his face. But obviously he makes it work, because he is hotness. Very excited for this movie -- besides those two we now know that the film will also co-star Randall Park, Andy Garcia, Jermaine Fowler, Marshawn Lynch, and the always reliable Chris Bauer; a solid cast of characters! All of that said I have one more bloody-hot photo of Karl for you, hit the jump for it...

Good Morning, World
This is kind of a weird Matryoshka kind of rabbit hole of references within references but a photography book of photos taken from the set of Jeff Nichols' upcoming biker gang movie The Bikeriders, a movie that is based on photographer Danny Lyon's 1968 photography book of the same name, was released last week and you can buy yourself a copy right here if you're so inclined. And/or buy a copy of Lyons' legendary book if you don't own it already right here.) The new book is titled Vandals and it's from photographer Bryan Schutmaat and it's styled to ape Lyon's photography -- just with actor hotties like Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Boyd Holbrook, Karl Glusman, etc etc, inhabiting their roles in the movie, based off Lyon's photographs of midcentury Midwestern bikers. I told y'all last week that biker gang movies are suddenly a big thing! Anywayb after some delays The Bikeriders is finally hitting screens on June 21st -- having seen it ages and ages ago I can tell you upfront that it's a terrific movie full of terrific performances.

Big Hogs For Everybody
Biker gangs are apparently the next hot trend -- this news I am about to share is the second bit of news today announcing a movie involving them, for goodness' sake! (See my previous post on Alexander Skarsgard's upcoming "kinky queer" biker movie here.) Add all that to the fact that out this June there is Jeff Nichols' film The Bikeriders with Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Karl Glusman -- Glusman who co-starred in 2022's fantastically queer Please Baby Please, which I am choosing to see as the real spark that started this Biker Gang Fire -- and we're calling it a trend. Anyway onto the second Biker Gang news of the day -- Cate Blanchett is going to star in Alpha Gang from the Zellner Brothers, whose wonderful film Sasquatch Sunset (starring Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough as sasquatch) is out in theaters now. As with all Zellner Bros movies there's nothing straightforward about Alpha Gang though, which is described thus:
"Alpha Gang follows alien invaders sent on a mission to conquer Earth. “Disguised in human form as an armed and dangerous 1950’s leather-clad biker gang, they show no mercy… until they catch the most toxic, contagious human disease of all: emotion.”
Is that description making anybody else think of John Cameron Mitchell's dementedly under-appreciated 2017 movie How to Talk to Girls at Parties, which starred Nicole Kidman as a leather-clad punk rock alien?
Yes Sir Skarsgård
Raise your hand if you'd want to be Alexander Skarsgard's submissive little slave boy. And excuse me while I peel myself off of the wall from the sheer force of all of your hands flying violently into the air at once. Anyway that's the plot of an actual movie that is being made -- titled Pillion, Alexander will play, and I quote, "the impossibly handsome leader of a community of kinky, queer bikers." And that's not all -- the movie will co-star the terrific Harry Melling, last seen being dommed by queer biker gang member Karl Glusman in Please Baby Please...
... Harry! My man! I am sensing a theme! But I guess if you're gonna get type-cast I think getting type-cast as the sub to a steady stream of hot actors in leather and denim is probably the way to go. The Way. Anyway the movie is from first-time feature director Harry Lighton, who's previously made some award-winning short films. It's set to shoot in London this summer. Let's hope we see a lot of this one filming on the streets -- I need to see Alexander done up in queer-coded biker gear as soon as possible.
