Fantastic album. Their leader and musical director Frank Collins is a genius, and sadly overlooked in pop music history. Strings provided by the great Paul Buckmaster. The voices of the four lead singers Frank Collins, Paddy McHugh, Dyan Birch, and Carroll Carter blend in a delightful and powerful way. The rhythm section of Lloyd Courtney on drums and Don Hume on bass, is fleshed out by the effective and simple keyboard stylings of Tony O'Malley. This band was breathtaking live, and the recording doesn't really do them justice, but you can get a feel of how good this band was, and you will hear it on this LP. The main body of the band evolved later on to become the popular funk-R&B band Kokomo. (in RateYourMusic)
