I need help from Canadian friends on the blog to find this band. Yesterday i found this great baggy influenced song ''Dark Ages'' from early 90's indie rock band from Canada called Teknicolor Raincoats.
I read somewhere that their sound is similiar to Jesus Jones and Pop Will Eat Itself.
They released two singles ''Dive Right In EP (1992)'' & ''Where You're Going (1993)''.

Madchester Rave On - Happy 10th Birthday

This supposed to be last post, 10 years i'm working on this blog, a perfect time for my retirement :)
That was my plan, but i'm not sure, still i'm not ready to close this blog and in the next few days or weeks i will make decision what to do. To close blog or to continue for few more months, until the end of 2017.

Ten fantastic years posting music, listening again all these late 80's & early 90's records, editing & tagging tracks, searching for unbelievable to find records, posting obscure & unreleased material, so many great memories, i've enjoyed every minute working on the blog.

Thanks for following my blog, for all the records i received from your home collections, making this blog to be much better.
Big thanks to band members for their support, music and unreleased tracks & demos they sent me.

Despite of the Manchester sound, Charmin' Children was a Dutch band, from the small town of Hulst. The rhythm-section of the band were some ten years older than the rest, who were only 16-17 years of age.

They were picked up by a local record store owner, Joost Neelemans, who managed the band and produced the band's first cassette,  which was mainly sold in his own record store. That same year he got the band a record deal with Virgin records where the first EP "Uck" was released. Later that year "(0) 1140" the first (and only) full size album followed.

To their own surprise the band was more popular in Manchester than they were in their home town. When John Lamens (vocals, guitar) moved to Manchester, the band fell apart.
