ELCKA
Rubbernecking
1997 Island Records
Notes :
Elcka were UK indie rock band from London, active during the 1990's. Their line-up
comprised Harrold (vocals), Marcus-Sanford Casey (guitar), Rhodes
(bass), Matt Barker (keyboards) and Darren Berry (drums). Their sound is
losely influenced by the iconic, Brit-centric lineage of Art-School
rock. Their first (and, for some time, considered only) album,
Rubbernecking, was released in 1997. It generated three singles - Look
At You Now, Supercharged and Nothing to Lose. The band also released a
number of EP's (including: Boho Bird; Leather Lips and Games We Play).
The band toured this album extensively - including as sole support
across the USA, Europe and Scandinavia for Morrissey on his
'Maladjusted' tour.
