Airhead - Funny How

Airhead (formerly Jefferson Airhead) is a British indie-pop band that achieved some success in the early 1990s, at the tail-end of the Madchester music movement.
Forced to change their name from Jefferson Airhead due to its (deliberate) similarity to Jefferson Airplane, Maidstone band Airhead achieved minor UK chart success with singles “Funny How” and “Counting Sheep”. After releasing one album and a handful of singles, they were dropped by label Korova and released their final record, the That’s Enough EP on Mother Tongue. They are probably best remembered for “Funny How”, which although not their highest-charting single was played heavily on BBC Radio 1 at the time of its release.

Indie band formed in 1990 by the members of 80's indie band from Manchester - The Waltones. Candlestick Park recorded one album "Re-Invent The Wheel" for Midnight Music label but it was never released and the band split. Their guitar player Mark Collins joined The Charlatans in 1991 after Jon Baker's departure.
One single - "All The Time In The World" was issued from the album sessions.

The Clouds were indie rock band from Manchester formed from the ashes of Dillen Experience in 1989 and were signed to Chris Nagle's Wobble Records in 1990. They had minor success with the release of their first EP "Moon Llama" whilst the follow up "Bingo Club's Millennium Ball" proved to be the final release from this Mancunian outfit. They supported World Of Twist and Intastella while the band frequently appeared live in and around Greater Manchester.

Spirea X was a short-lived dream pop/noise pop act on the 4AD label, spearheaded by ex-Primal Scream member Jim Beattie. The other members of the group were Judith Boyle and Andrew Kerr. In 1991, the group released the Chlorine Dream and Speed Reaction singles, along with the full-length Fireblade Skies. Combining sweet vocal melodies with alternately noisy and blurry bursts of guitars and dance beats, the record was definitely up on the then-current sound of the U.K., but it failed to make much of an impression with consumers and cynical tastemakers. Spirea X vanished without a trace, but Beattie and Boyle along with former Spirea X manager Simon Dine would later form Adventures In Stereo.
